i'm all for knowing your rights but even those "know your rights" PSA will tell you you can verbally refuse something but always cooperate physically. for example, if an officer asks if he can frisk you, you can verbally refuse to give consent. if he orders you to stand infront of the car to frisk you, you should still verbally refuse but not resist. that way anything they find can't be held against you PLUS you can file a complaint afterwards.

women from the video will most likely lose her case if the windows were tinted (don't know the exact law on that but there probably is) PLUS she rolled the window up on dude's hand PLUS she was told she was being detained and refused to comply. like everyone said, lawyer fees, missed days of work, gotta repair her car window, maybe probation, days in jail and she probably won't even get the W on her complaint all because she went at it the wrong way...

I wish all cops were required to wear a camera. He would have probably been a lot more violent if he didn't have one on. Also not sure what that state law is but here you do have a right to not come out of your car. Your car is part of your property and they have to get a warrant to force into it. My lawyer told me this.

He was dead wrong, because all of this was from her not rolling down her window. He overreacted, on some nonsense, about "his safety."

But, all lawyers will tell you to flex your rights if you have time to kill. Or comply and be on your way. Charges will be dropped because she did not have to roll her window all the way down.

There are times I got stopped and didn't roll my window all the way down. Its a habit for most folks, and I have tint. Observe, next time you get stopped, I guarantee you that you won't roll your window all the way down, and the cop won't have a problem with it if its not night time.

But 9 times out 10, a cop will not let you get off easy for challenging his authority, no matter how right you are.
