NFL needs to take a hard look at caring about the players so they don't seem so disconnected from them and the fans. It might be a tough pill to swallow for owners, but they should probably fall back on a 17 game schedule and go back to a 16 game one.

Proper form tackling can prevent some of these injuries.

The consensus from most players is that they’d rather be tackled high than low because of Injury risk to those wheels. Obviously no one expected anything like this to happen. In real time, the tackle and hit didn’t look like anything out of the ordinary. I can’t remember which game it was, but someone absolutely got popped in the head, and the player who hit him got ejected. Dude who got hit actually got right up tho and seemed ok.
