Even Henry Ford understood that if he wanted to sell his cars, he needed to pay a living wage. The rich can only buy a few cars, the working class can buy millions. Poor people spend their money, all of it, no matter how little or how much more. If businesses paid more, people will spend more.
The underlying cause of wealth disparity is that corporations are compelled into making exponential profits yearly by shareholders. This is a mathematical impossibility due to the law of diminishing returns. As profits grow exponentially, the costs at which this can be achieved grow exponentially. If wages dont rise along with everything else, the system will not be sustainable because eventually no one outside of the wealthy would be buying anything.

I've noticed this is the default response when no coherent counter argument(supported by evidence) can be made...I'm beginning to think this forum is specifically for liberals to complain about the 1% and how unfair they perceive the market economy to be.
