Your acting like its mandatory for people to work at Mcdonalds. If you don't want to work a minimum wage job, don't work work a minimum wage job. Any person in poverty with a GED can go to a community college for FREE. School not your thing? Government offers training to learn a new trade. Cant learn a trade? Guess what your a loser probably doomed for failure who can't be helped. Hate to sound harsh but that's real talk that some people need to hear. Stop complaining, learn to work, be humble, save whatever little money you can.
I'm from the bottom, was raised in projects, saw what was going on and maneuvered out of that shyt. I didnt have parents pushing me to go to school, work ect i made those choices myself. Remember in school I was broke as shyt making like $80 a week on that student work program shyt, while other kids had brand new whips from their parents. I have no sympathy for the weak...You keep making excuses i'll keep making moves.
:childplease:

Shut up. I swear, HL is filled with ignorant a$$holes who think they're making moves and better than the next man. Calm down, clown.

Thing is, I don't think anyone is trolling in this thread per se :patrice:

These are real opinions and ideologies being relayed...
Then I probably shouldn't be visiting this section anymore.

Maybe I should ask @bk and @Brooklynzson if they want to get rid of it all together? :ehh:

The trolling in this section fell off. It's not even fun to go back and forth with some of you clowns.
I think if youre trolling you realize what you're saying is untenable or off base. This isnt :troll: just people being shytheads

Makes me reminisce on the fine, aged black label bottled :troll: of gundumb and kingpinog :wow:

Even Henry Ford understood that if he wanted to sell his cars, he needed to pay a living wage. The rich can only buy a few cars, the working class can buy millions. Poor people spend their money, all of it, no matter how little or how much more. If businesses paid more, people will spend more.

The underlying cause of wealth disparity is that corporations are compelled into making exponential profits yearly by shareholders. This is a mathematical impossibility due to the law of diminishing returns. As profits grow exponentially, the costs at which this can be achieved grow exponentially. If wages dont rise along with everything else, the system will not be sustainable because eventually no one outside of the wealthy would be buying anything.

:ohhh:Or is that their plan all along???

:comeon:In his words, the higher pay was to attract the best engineers and lure the best workers from his competition.

:manny: But whatever makes you feel good.

:ehh: I've noticed this is the default response when no coherent counter argument(supported by evidence) can be made...

I'm beginning to think this forum is specifically for liberals to complain about the 1% and how unfair they perceive the market economy to be. :patrice:

Minimum wage jobs were never meant to be careers. They are supposed to be stepping stones to further yourself. I read articles about people complaining that they have been working at this minimum wage job for 6 years and still get paid so low. How about having some ambition and making some moves. And people with kids? Sorry about your bad life choices , but its your responsibility to fix the situation. If I had a kid and was making little money, it would just make me that much more motivated to make it. I know the system is against the low income of the country, but they have plenty of ways out if you look hard enough.

lol@ me reading the thread, getting to this obvious keyword-heavy vapid stereotype post, and I'm like.. I'm out :russ:

:what:
From Ford's Website

Henry Ford had reasoned that since it was now possible to build inexpensive cars in volume, more of them could be sold if employees could afford to buy them. The $5 day helped better the lot of all American workers and contributed to the emergence of the American middle class. In the process, Henry Ford had changed manufacturing forever.
