I take it that's directed at me. Every woman I've been in a serious relationship with has been black. I don't have a line of white women in my past talmbout we was in love  because all I've ever wanted to date was black girls. Barack had like three serious white girlfriends, then married Michelle before his career really kicked off. To me, that sounds like his ass knew his political aspirations would be

if he married some white floozy. Call me whatever you want. That's how I feel about it. If he'd had a history with multiple black women, Id feel different.

Sweetie. I am the type of poster who has NO issue quoting or @ing someone that I want to argue with. I made a general statement about something I noticed in multiple threads about men in power who marry black women. I was not taking names when I read the posts and didn't give a damn about who said what when I wrote my post. If you felt convicted by what I said then that is your issue because I didn't target anyone. I've argued what I felt about Barack and Michelle and I don't care to argue about that again since all that stuff is easily searchable.

I find it so funny that every day you have multiple posters telling us black women how we are the lowest women on the totem pole (and many people agreeing), but that story changes when someone in power decides to marry a black woman. All of a sudden, men are scheming 20 years in advance to win over 6% of the population by marrying one of us. 6% of the vote is the only reason these men married black women...the only reason.

Its amazing how quickly they change their stories just to put down Black women.

LOL Even that will collapse in the next decade. There are only so many rich people that will tolerate that cost of living before moving on to the next big city. On top of the working/ middle class workers needed to operate small businesses and operate public services.

Oh so it's gonna be this next decade that t
his happens? Late 70s people that NYC Was done, funny how much cost of living and cost of real property has out paced inflation from then to now, crime is down, tax revenue for 2013 higher than it's ever been.. I don't know Breh , seems. Like NYC is custom made for people of means more that any other time I'm my 29 years.

I wouldn't put it past him. I minored in Poli Sci. All those types have their lives meticulously planned out by college. I see it close up with one of my best friends who wants to go into politics. Every move he makes he's thinking about how it will affect him 20 years down the line. Take Barack too. He turned down a $250,000 a year job to go fix up some fukked up neighborhood in Chicago. Who does sh*t like that besides people who want to run for office? :pachaha: He dated white girls most of his adolescence and young adult life, then finds an educated black woman to settle down with. He knew what he was doing.

While I agree that there could be a political element to barack marrying a black woman, I also think he was grappling with racial identity. He may have married black just because he identified more with his black side and wanted to settle down with a black woman. The answer to the specifics of barack and michelle is not very clear cut. Just my opinion though.

I don't get this. How could he identify more with his black side when he was raised by white people in America and his black family was all the way in Africa?

You would have to ask him, he is the one who said that he was black. Just because you grew up one way doesn't mean you can't identify more with a different culture than the one that raised you. He has probably experienced prejudice as a black man would in america, and maybe being around white people made him more conscious of his black side. It really shouldn't be a foreign concept to understand. I would guess most of the answers are in his book "dreams from my father" about race and inheritance.

Sadly, the BX is the only shyt that's left but the motherfukkas living there flat out don't realize it. Riverdale and Pelham are their own thing and essential isolated from the rest of the BX, which is hood as fukk but has TONS of valuable land. Folks flat out are oblivious. It will be damn near impossible to Brooklyn-ize the BX because it's too damn large and deeply ratchet.

Politicians here are interested in the photo Ops and perks. If they cared, shyt woulda been changed.

Well see, I have an apt conveniently located near the 4 and the D :ahh:. Paying less than a G with better access to manhattan than some people in manhattan.

But the way I see it, When East NY falls and the other places where the poor live in other borrough, those people will continue to flood the BX and that will raise the cost.

That's what I expect

I feel you. If I got a spot on D line in the BX it would have to be in one of those nicer buildings on the concourse. Crazy that the concourse is like 6 miles long and has all of these nice ass Art Deco style buildings but they are fukking hood. If the BX gets invaded, those buildings are the first to go, especially the ones within walking distance of Yankee stadium

As far as east NY goes, the sheer level of hopelessness there is a deterrent for gentrification. Every time I go there I feel like I'm in Newark or some shyt.
