I'm right on the edge. Manhattan lifestyle (kinda) with BX prices. Can't beat it. And you're connected to damn near everything (the 1, the BX 7, 9, 10, 20, 32, 1, 2, the A train if you use the bx7, Metro North B, D, 4, TWO hospitals, and if you want you can go to the east or west side of Manhattan no problem because other than the B and 1, everything is express)
I always tell my friends, move out there or Inwood. Lots of housing, prices not as bad as it could be, access to everything, and it's just Irish and Dominicans out here. I make a good living, and I wouldn't leave this neighborhood unless I became a visible figure. I have no desire to go anywhere else, let alone where I grew up
i feel u man i wanted to stay in my hood but it got way too overpriced. columbia university killed us with the eminent domain a couple years back and now they building some kind of shopping center/school buildings about 6 blocks from me which is raising shyt even more. my brother in law trying to move back from the bx to be closer to his mom and the best he can find is a 1 bedroom on riverside for 1500 a month and the shyt has a kitchenette and small bedroom.
