if youre on the concourse, then youre fine. the kingsbridge and the concourse and north (along the concourse) gets quieter and MUCH tamer. Kingsbridge itself (from any direction) can get wild at times at night but I've always seen cops all over that area. the side stress, like Walton Ave. But if you know how to handle yourself, you should be fine. its not like youre in a war zone or anything.

yea im good i was mostly concerned about burglaries since wifey gonna be home alone 3 nights of the week but i copped a custom fire escape window gate and my super is a crazy puerto rican with a gun license and cameras all over the building :pachaha: im from harlem so im no stranger to ratchet blocks tho just gotta give these kids the :birdman: grill.

i like the ease of access into the city tho and we dont pay much for a renovated apartment in an art deco building with a laundry in the basement, video intercom with building wide surveillance access and a 740 sq ft apartment.

i just moved to the bx to the bedford park region above fordham university. what are ya reviews on that area? :lupe: i lived in harlem my whole life and i only ever hung out in the bx but its been a minute.

Decatur ave from 2537-2746 is a hot block..

Perry ave is cool

Valentine in the 198th-199 area is a hotspot...

The part of the decatur where your near has a lil bit of issues, but from 2860s pass the metro north is safer..

anything from the jolly tinker bar on webster to the right is safer{thats if your standing directly across where the parking lot is}..Thats between webster and where the last Botanical Garden building is

to the left is where it gets hotter..

I agree, the kid is not at fault- Thats his father, you gotta help the fam out :yeshrug:

But My girl and I were talking- her brother married this white broad (:mjpls:), and I basically said the vice versa of a Bill De Blasio would never happen. She was like, "My brother wouldnt win because of his white wife?" and I asked her:

Is he running for a position in the US?
Is he depending on either the black or white vote.

Then I started thinking how much of a shame this is. We see de Blasio and say, good for him getting him a sista:myman:. But if a brotha did the same thing with a snowbunny, everyone including us (and myself :manny:) would be roasting him to no end...
i think it is coming. soon. i think cory booker would do something like this.

The Comfort Zone
Grew up on Decatur n' Gun Hill Road... not far from Decatur's "murder row" but had its fair share of fukkery. That area and other ghetto spots with a lot of apartment buildings are fukked once all the degenerates from ENY and Bville start to come over :scusthov:

Even though I plan on leaving NY, my part of the BX is almost sure to be safe :ahh: too many West Indians and Africans who own their shyt.

im actually by the concourse close to the kingsbridge rd D train station. im not worried for me cause im somewhat street smart and know what to look out for but wifey is moving in with me and she never lived anywhere except with her parents so her safety is why i ask. from what i see this last month tho it isnt so bad except on that walk down bainbridge towards fordham. already spotted 2 groups of kids looking for fights :snoop:
That area ain't bad at all breh. I don't live far from there myself (by the 1 train though)

nah like i tell wifey, its only bad if u out hustling past 12am but if u mind ur business and go home at a reasonable hour u will be fine. its no better or no worse then where i grew up and she lives now in harlem by the 1 train. that hamilton heights area, even tho it has drastically improved since i was a kid, we still have our dope fiends and little gang members running around. she is just a paranoid person with reason. when she was 9 some dudes broke into her home and tied her, her brother, her mom and cousins up and robbed them. cant say i blame her for being so paranoid about moving to the bronx :manny:

i like it tho especially how easy it is to get to the city. i work in columbus circle n it takes like 35 minutes by train.

That area of the Bronx is more laid back. Lots of co-ops out there. My sis owns one on Mosholu. Ain't shyt to do around the north side unless you love lots of park space. The West side has more shyt. I live by that area that some think is still technically Manhattan but it ain't. Real confusing but it's the best of everything.

That D train express in the morning and rush hour late

Kingsbridge--- Fordham--- Tremont--- 145--- 125-- 59 :krs:

I'm right on the edge. Manhattan lifestyle (kinda) with BX prices. Can't beat it. And you're connected to damn near everything (the 1, the BX 7, 9, 10, 20, 32, 1, 2, the A train if you use the bx7, Metro North B, D, 4, TWO hospitals, and if you want you can go to the east or west side of Manhattan no problem because other than the B and 1, everything is express)

I always tell my friends, move out there or Inwood. Lots of housing, prices not as bad as it could be, access to everything, and it's just Irish and Dominicans out here. I make a good living, and I wouldn't leave this neighborhood unless I became a visible figure. I have no desire to go anywhere else, let alone where I grew up
