Hunter entertained the idea but was convinced to stay when Vince put a guaranteed title reign in his new contract (an apparent first.) Imagine what would've happened if Hunter jumped ship to WCW going into 1999.

What if Shawn Michaels wasn’t out for the height of the Attitude Era

If Sting was the 3rd man I think WCW might still be in business in some form because the angle wouldn't be as red hot and you know Hogan would've got his way and beat those guys to kill the angle eventually. So everybody ends up going their own way and WCW remains a good option for something other than WWF/E but not the monster it became by 98/99. I think it would just end up being a forever war like Coke vs Pepsi. Which would be great for wrestling. A lot of stars from the last 15 years might've ended up WCW stars. AJ Styles definitely would've been a WCW dude.
