Amex gang. I know ya travel. I fukked up planning with my passport. I’m hearing to expedite, them passport agencies want you to schedule everything 14 days before the trip and then have the appt 5 days before the trip. Any of ya tried this and how successful was ya?

This guy got a centurion and detailed his spend
Annual spend over last 11 years was between $200k and $1.5 million on a personal card only.

I had a business platinum for 3 of those years with a much lower spend (~100k) and found it overkill for 2 Platinum cards.
I spent a lot on travel…

Mostly Fine Hotel and resorts and it’s almost always 200k+ in that category.

Spending is big at Rolex and Van Cleef every year as I loves watches and that is my wife’s favorite jewelry brand.

Dining out is another large category in the 75-100k range.

Private jet travel is also in there but only maybe 50-60k average.

Airfare is a giant category as we go to Europe often so that’s another 100-150k average

Then basically daily stuff like groceries and household items.

Customer service was great when I first got the card but platinum in my opinion really faded in the last couple years, phone trees got larger, and it’s harder to talk to a person.

Call the number on the centurion card for instance and you have a real person in less than a minute and no phone tree.
:wow:

Forget all that. Either make your appt in person or mail your app, documents (originals) and picture off next day air. One day of delay and you will NOT be on your way. Got my passport and card for around $275 / $300. Paid for Tomorrow morning delivery and expedited return. Do not wait or play the date game.

‘but through regular process that shyt takes 5-7 weeks. I don’t have that time anymore. My only option is that two week shyt at this point or cancel. That’s why I wondered if anyone done it before. Appreciate the feedback

So I don’t know why I didn’t think of this beforehand, and don’t know if this was already mentioned on here, but something to maximize your gas purchases using the gold card is to buy a gas gift card from a grocery store. It should come up as a purchase through the grocery store to get the 4x points, and just use the gift card for the gas. Someone mentioned this on the FB group and I was :ohhh:

Don't know where you are at but call the closest Passport office and see what can be done. They can get you right much faster than the mail with expedited service. That 5-7 weeks was pre-covid. They didn't update the times cause they don't have a definite answer to what the real time frame is.

I went to the grocery store I normally go to yesterday and didn’t find any gas card. I’ll try at another one later this week. If I find one I’ll buy it and report back if the 4x points is credited.
