Be careful with that. It is true but many grocery stores use Level 3 data processors and AMEX can see what you bought. If it's just gift cards :stevefrancisnope:. Buy regularly stuff also. Not $500 gift cards and a jar of pickles. Mix it up.

If you have been with AMEX for a bit and not trying to get a sign up bonus you might be good.

Usually I buy gas at sams club because it’s about 30% cheaper even though it’s somewhat out of the way to get there. Also gift card purchases usually aren’t valid but if it’s the stores gift card and not a visa/Mastercard etc then I might see this working. We have several chains down here that have gas stations tied to the grocery store so I’ll be all over that if it does actually work.

Amex gang. I know ya travel. I fukked up planning with my passport. I’m hearing to expedite, them passport agencies want you to schedule everything 14 days before the trip and then have the appt 5 days before the trip. Any of ya tried this and how successful was ya?

i did the expedite before, i think you have no chance unless there's a life or death situation at play

there's a bunch of third party companies that expedite renewal and even they can't do shyt since covid, sorry breh but you're totally at the mercy of the state dept here

amex is way stricter about this than say chase, who you can bamboozle by buying a gift card and a stick of gum or smth to avoid the $xx.00 on the statement. amex will claw back your points even months after the fact and not give a fukk lmao.

if you wanna abuse the grocery store gift card thing then chase freedom flex can give a nice come up now, get amazon gift cards for (1x cashback on groceries + 4x bonus category until march 31 + 4x bonus offer for first year of card membership) * 1.5 cents/point for having csr = 13.5% off anything you could possibly need. the offer's good up to $12k so that's $1600+ in free money for literally no work.

so you did that two week shyt thru state dept? They made it seem over the phone it will get done as long as I got my itinerary already. I can’t make the appointment through passport agency without calling that 1888 number which tells me to wait two weeks before my trip exactly to make it urgent.
