This is the Democrat response to people going on strike. They'll take desperate people and use them as scabs for the corporations who will refuse to pay domestic workers what they're worth.

The result as you can see in this thread is going to be anger directed at the people fleeing poverty and violence in their countries instead of the government for failing to protect workers rights and employers who refuse to pay people the wages they deserve and give them the benefits that actually allow them to do their jobs better and stay in the company. The companies will of course continue to hire immigrants whether documented or undocumented and threaten to fire them if they ever complain.

The immigrants are used as a cudgel to tell domestic staff they can and will be replaced while they can be used by Republicans as scapegoats for everything bad and an excuse for why they won't do anything with the tax dollars they get. It's a win-win scenario for both parties because they each use the immigrants as a political tool for their own ends.

Democrats get more cozy with corporate donors as these immigrants are used for cheap labor and to break unions.

Republicans get a scape goat to whip their voters up into a frenzy so they can vote to put more cops on the street and build up the jails.

And the average voter being as smart as a rock won't see the finesse for what it is and direct their anger at the politicians whilst the CEOs enjoy record profits from the immigrants who will need to buy their shyt and the money they'll save from not paying for Healthcare or employee benefits.

I think people would have liked a lot of those construction, warehouse, and factory jobs that would pay significantly more if not for companies being able to hire illegals and pay them under the table.

Their kids become US citizens who WILL be competing for jobs. They also are significant competition to people trying to run businesses because they can hire a bunch of their countrymen and pay them under the table, meaning they can quote significantly lower prices to win the bid and still be profitable.

and it's the H1Bs that are the threat on the tech end. If you look at most tech departments at major companies, it is 85% Indian and the vast majority of off-shored work gets off-shored to India with a touch of it offshored to Eastern European countries.

Illegal labor is being used to underminie the blue collar labor market and h1bs are being used to undermine the high paying jobs.

Yes black people do have to work those jobs in the real world. Plus as an unskilled,uneducated worker when I moved to Atlanta I had to work at Kroger. Alot of people work shytty jobs when they first move somewhere. Do you think illegals are going to just stay in mcdonalds,janitorial jobs once they figure out the lay of the land and network? Might not start taking tech jobs. But construction,warehouse,factory, driver jobs? They could easily start taking those 20+ and hour gigs that alot of us do work. But thats capitalism I guess
