Instead of just eliminating all student loan debt why dont they propose a solution to cut all of the interest that people have to pay on their loans and call it even. It's the interest that's really killing people

Most likely it will happen for 10K, but be warned there will be heavy stipulations (like with government workers). Such as a salary cap, probably some community service stipulations and probably some payment stipulations (such as if you haven't made payments consistently for so many years before the nationwide deferment then you can't get the 10K waiver).

Best believe they gonna make folks jump through them hoops to get the waiver so a lot of folks gonna get disappointed. Also don't forget you get the waiver that is 10K that will be counted as salary on your income. So taxes will be due the next year on that 10K.

Last expect them republicans to try to and get it blocked....so this shyt ain't over too once the new administration announces it.

Ain't gonna happen breh. Student loan debt is a multibillion dollar business. These corporations that are in the business of student loans, donate to political candidates through PACs. They in no way shape or form are going to let the politicians kill their business model by getting ride of interest completely.

I mentioned this before how a student loan organization needed to be formed in which regular folks can donate and through that use that money to buy/fund politicians to force them to pass laws to reform student loans. Cause really all this shyt is kicking a can down the street for the next generation to resolve....and on and on.

Why did you NEED to go to college? What makes ppl HAVE to go out of state? Could it be ppl go 50k+ in the hole to leave their parents and have casual sex and party and ”network”?
