In lieu of excitment for new trek...list the best at each position.(include enterprise if you're familar with it)

Captain: janeway
1st officer: riker
Security: odo
Engineering: scotty
Doctor: the doctor

I'm not gonna lie I haven't seen a lot of Viyager but it's hard for me to see Janeway>Sisko. Agree when it's all said and done Riker is the GOAT 1st Officer. He shoulda been a captain but can't quit the Ebterprise. Scotty is cool but gotta rate O'Brien higher and there is NO doctor better than Julian Bashir. Even if he was gen-mode had to dumb himself down for Starfleet and He turned the black ops down to ride with DS-9.

It's ridiculous. The fate of planet earth wouldn't be in the hands of a 22 year old straight out of the academy.

Discovery has a young person in their crew but she is rightfully placed as a cadet...not a captain or senior officer before the age of 25.
