My thing is min wage should be for teens. Issue is grown ass folks be working jobs meant for teens. In HS i literally never got interviews for mall jobs because companies rather hire an adult who can work all day than a teen who can come in for a few hours after school and the weekend.

I still feel housing is an issue, because in my city every new housing development is listed as ''luxury' lol. Like is there not new 'regular' housing being built? You would think with technology advancements it would be easy to built affordable housing but instead they build cheap and tax to maximize margins

Craigslist got plenty of cheap housing. People also are autonomous. Move somewhere cheaper

Yea I believe that "luxury" title is a scam. Like so what is a new apartment complex that is not "luxury" look like? They building all these new complexes where I am at(Gwinnett, GA) where the damn rent starts at $1400 for a one bedroom 600 sq ft apartment.

Im in the city so I already know breh. These spots 1500+ to 2-3k for "playa" stuff and the walls made out of paper lol

Even that "15 dollar raise" they gave Best Buy reps was a facade because they gutted the everlasting hell out of hours. Even folks that worked fulltime ended up getting guaranteed hours cut to damn near 30 to 20.

The reps that are apart of certain brands can't even get a bonus anymore due to these sad revelations.

It's all around messed up.

Right now, I'm trying to go back to what I should had done before all of this nonsense and that's writing. Its a struggle for now but the plan is coming in God's eyes.

All I know is that it's going to get extremely ugly in this country as the retail apocalypse is not showing any type of slow downs.

exactly. There is no magic salary where things get easier if COL is rapidly increasing lol. You shouldn't have to make 50k to live a normal life. IMO 30k should be the baseline to support a single person.

Yea it is sad, either your forced to pay more than you should so your door dont get kicked in or risk your door getting kicked in by living somewhere you can comfortably afford.

Best Buy has a weird hiring practice. Honestly, the best time to actually get a gig at BB is to come in as Seasonal and work your ass off.

That's what I did and ended up getting hired with like 2 people out of the 16 that they used for seasonal. I started out in Home Theater and my supervisor at the time noticed how good I was with selling computers that they threw me in PC which was all around hell, but wayyy better than working with those lazy asses in Home Theater.

But yeah I agree with the "fukk Best Buy" statement

You guys contributed to their down fall no doubt. But Circuit City was a fukked up company.
