:francis:Told yall...

I left before the storm happened and its a Cat 5 in that piece. Best Buy itself was on borrowed time since the recession of 08. Once they downsized and had a new CEO which was somewhat coherent to how a business should be run in 2010s, dude chucked the peace around 2019 to 2020ish, leading with a CEO that is a fukking doofus. Thus here we are:camby:

I honestly can't wait for the stores to close because bad management, sucking the balls of customers despite the morality of reps, the lack of product that goes through the store, the backwards ass ideals for pushing services and credit cards without no proper incentive, and and the bullshyt scheduling along with letting go reps for no goddamn reason makes me happy this company is slowly but slowly burning to the everlasting ground.

I know I sound angry in this post but I was one of the ones that really enjoyed working for Best Buy. I love customer service and the idea of helping folks out from tech tips to life lessons. Yet, this dumb ass company made me so sour with the direction of retail ever since the pandemic happened, I have no damns given for this company to go with Blockbuster and Circuit City in hell:camby:

Inevitable :manny: they did well to last this long

Unfortunately their business model just doesn't work in 2021. There's little to no reason to even go to Best Buy when you can get the same thing cheaper from Amazon and delivered to your door in a day.

its crazy nobody talks about the housing costs being extreme. Its like are we going to keep boosting pay while housing still increases in cost? Why not get that in check? The min wage increase will be null and void in another decade. Are we gonna then have to aim for 21 dollar minimum wage?
People can also get educated and work better jobs and work multiple jobs.

I do agree minimum wage needs to be raised but damn. Is there any accountability on the actual people?

Its because too few people own majority of the housing. No way my black azz is moving to a rural sundown town with a deteriorating economy, just cause of cheap rent.

My thing is min wage should be for teens. Issue is grown ass folks be working jobs meant for teens. In HS i literally never got interviews for mall jobs because companies rather hire an adult who can work all day than a teen who can come in for a few hours after school and the weekend.

I still feel housing is an issue, because in my city every new housing development is listed as ''luxury' lol. Like is there not new 'regular' housing being built? You would think with technology advancements it would be easy to built affordable housing but instead they build cheap and tax to maximize margins

I love Best Buy. They better not ever go out of business :mjcry:

Breh...its over:mjcry:. As a former rep, I loved the place too before all of these retarded changes to the company. Once I seen them letting folks in without a damn mask and wanting us to hop hop skip to their leisure, along with not shutting down the place when two people caught covid speaks volumes for the direction of the company.

Its sad, because I used to walk to the store with a big ass grin on my face. Did not care about the issues I had with boomers and idiots, I just loved to shoot the shyt with folks and help them with whatever purchases possible.

Sadly, this pandemic exposed what matters to corporations and that's greed and numbers, its not even about the customers anymore...it's just the profit of using their clueless ways for financial gain.

I remember one time a old lady was getting scammed by this couple. My coworker tried to talked her out of it and even went to the asst manager to let him know that shyt wasn't right.

This a$$hole basically said "give her a BP (credit card app), to stop her from paying out of her pocket:dwillhuh:

Don't get me started with supervisors pissing blood because they got to get these unrealistic goals in the midst of a pandemic sales wise and service wise.

But hold your head breh... maybe the BB near you is straight but trust when I say that this is the beginning of the end for retail :francis:

I was just speaking to my cousin about this. Talking about a min increase and he works at Kroger. I’m like dude you need to quit being lazy and make shyt happen yourself. Try to at least advance at the job or learn a skill or apply a skill you learned at Kroger for a better paying job.
