:mjlol:Best Buy has a weird hiring practice. Honestly, the best time to actually get a gig at BB is to come in as Seasonal and work your ass off.

That's what I did and ended up getting hired with like 2 people out of the 16 that they used for seasonal. I started out in Home Theater and my supervisor at the time noticed how good I was with selling computers that they threw me in PC which was all around hell, but wayyy better than working with those lazy asses in Home Theater.

But yeah I agree with the "fukk Best Buy" statement:wow:

Friend of mine in college went to a job interview with them in a orange button down, blue jeans, and some fake ass Chinese variant blue/orange 13s. shyt was like the precursor to Tracy from Atlanta.

Folks were in that Frye’s thread saying Best Buy would be fine :mjlol:

:deadmanny:That shyt was hilarious. Like yes Best Buy said that they had a "good year", that's because of the hype for staying at home gigs and so forth. Once that died down and they gutted hours, it was a wrap. Best Buy at one point was going to go out of business in 2009ish when they closed down a shyt load of stores.

This is going to be the final nail in the coffin.

Sundown town, work multiple dead-end jobs, grind harder when greedy CEOs and shareholders hog profits and cut employee hours, bootstraps, all that nonsense.

No one is bringing smoke against CEOs. Why?

Why should a ceo get smoke? You treating a business like it’s a government just because it big

Amount of workers I see hanging around doing nothing :heh:

Brick and mortar dead

Breh, that is exactly how it is. You can't even ask for help cause the congregate in different part of the store.

I swear the employees there have perfected the art of "looking busy". :mjlol:

The managers are nice though.

Inevitable :manny: they did well to last this long

Unfortunately their business model just doesn't work in 2021. There's little to no reason to even go to Best Buy when you can get the same thing cheaper from Amazon and delivered to your door in a day.

Best Buy not going anywhere

:mjlol:I'm really convinced that HR does not care for how you dressed for the gig in Best Buy. I remember when I tried to get a interview when I was living in Savannah. I went to a interview for the Bluffton store and this dude at the front looked at me like I was a unicorn.

Dude said "dude you like the only guy that came to the interview looking business professional. Everybody that came in wore sneaks, sandals, and shorts."

I was like :dwillhuh:"Do I get the job then"

Even when I came in for the seasonal gig, there were folks that were dressed like they were going to the club:gucci:.

To be fair, there's really not much to do besides straightening up aisles and doing e learnings. I try to keep myself busy because I would get bored with just standing around. That all changed once customers started smelling their own farts during the pandemic. That's when I understood why brehs would just be on their b boy stance.

But yeah besides trainings, laser lining aisles, and putting up stock, there's a shyt load of downtime, yet it does depend on what department you are in.

Sadly, PC gang had to be the workhorses in that bytch because "I NeEd a CUmPuTah":francis:

from a business standpoint the ceo brings more to the table and is harder to replace.
Why would they get lower pay ?

At the expense of low balling the employees? Then nothing will change, and crime will skyrocket. More than likely, you will be a future victim.

Best buy as a company is doing great. But they ain't trying to pay all these workers at the brick and mortar stores when the online business is booming.
Yeah plus the smaller stores do pretty damn well not having so many big items like stoves and fridges just sitting there. The one I worked at in dc constantly sold better than most it's region cause they could focus more on selling shyt people without houses would actually want.

Breh...its over:mjcry:. As a former rep, I loved the place too before all of these retarded changes to the company. Once I seen them letting folks in without a damn mask and wanting us to hop hop skip to their leisure, along with not shutting down the place when two people caught covid speaks volumes for the direction of the company.

Its sad, because I used to walk to the store with a big ass grin on my face. Did not care about the issues I had with boomers and idiots, I just loved to shoot the shyt with folks and help them with whatever purchases possible.

Sadly, this pandemic exposed what matters to corporations and that's greed and numbers, its not even about the customers anymore...it's just the profit of using their clueless ways for financial gain.

I remember one time a old lady was getting scammed by this couple. My coworker tried to talked her out of it and even went to the asst manager to let him know that shyt wasn't right.

This a$$hole basically said "give her a BP (credit card app), to stop her from paying out of her pocket:dwillhuh:

Don't get me started with supervisors pissing blood because they got to get these unrealistic goals in the midst of a pandemic sales wise and service wise.

But hold your head breh... maybe the BB near you is straight but trust when I say that this is the beginning of the end for retail :francis:

Oh man those god damn BPs, I worked inventory so thank Jesus I never had to worry about that shyt buy hearing the managers constantly talk about that shyt hour to hour was fukking ridiculous. Like aren't y'all supposed to be selling merch and packages, df this isn't a credit card company why df is that so important?
