Madlib “just threw beats at Gibbs” yet Piñata and Bandana are both better than AlfredoNo disrespect, at all.
Just production talk. Looping is looping.
And Al is in my top 5 personal favorites but downplaying Madlib to pump up Al is wild IMO

You're talking about output and he's talking about process. It's two different conversations. No one is denying Madlib is great, just that Alc has the more impressive technical ability.Madlib “just threw beats at Gibbs” yet Piñata and Bandana are both better than Alfredo

This album is like two different levels on one project.
I really don’t understand why MC's still go to Hit-Boy for those trash ass beats. The generic Ableton templates and sample packs always sound mad thin next to actual dope beats. ALC blessed Benny on this one. I can't be the only one that wanted him to just produce the whole sh*t. The album is wild uneven. And the dip in quality track to track is crazy because Hit can't go beat for beat with the greats. So that makes the album ride weird.
Somebody gotta start telling Hit the truth, man. All that time he's spent around ALC and other producers, and his sh*t is still remedial. He's relying too much on the shortcuts and software, and it's showing in these dumpster-bound beats he's been throwing at dudes for the past couple years. Sh*t is offensive.
A Chad Hamilton reference wasn’t on my 2024 bingo cardJust relistened to How to Rap......just a hilariously bad beat
Hit trying to be Just Blaze but he ain't even Chad Hamilton
I agree with the top part on ur comment. Those are the only two tracks I’ll be revisiting too. Albums fully midOutside of "Jermaine's Graduation" & "TMVTL" I can't see myself revisiting anything else on this album, this shyt is mid
And nikkas do be riding Alchemist's nuts a little too hard on here. His beats on this album ain't THAT much better than Hit-Boy's
