He made the playoffs twice in 4 years with Mark Brunell and he has the last playoff win for the organization (2006)
3 Superbowls with 3 different QBs is amazing.

Beli only made the playoffs twice in 9 years without Brady.

@L. Deezy

For real for real. I was going to say the same thing. Gibbs had two playoff appearances in 4 years. One of the years he had his backup playing Jason Campbell was injured and he had to roll with Todd Collins. That was pretty impressive. In the second playoff appearance, Sean Taylor died earlier in that year and they were able to recover.

As a note, he actually made it playoffs with Jason Campbell/ Todd Collins for the second appearance. He's been able to make the plans with so many different quarterbacks.

Yeah, I get that..

But the argument of being better than Beli would be better if we were talking before first retirement

Stop. Brady first three rings (especially his first one) was due to defense and special teams.

Brady didnt become Brady until his later years

Exactly the revisionist history is insane
Nah that's revisionist history.

Brady and the Pats actually had top 10/top 5 offenses in the early years.

I think in 2004 their offense was ranked the same as their defense, actually.

By 2003 Brady was already considered a top 3 QB. I remember even in 2006 - BEFORE Randy Moss and Welker - Brady was viewed as elite, top 3. Only person ahead of him was Peyton, mostly due to Peyton having better weapons and stats on offense.

This is just....talk about cherry picking. 9ers got smoked by the Giants with JOE MONTANA (granted he got injured) Not even a rookie QB...I guess Bill Walsh is a dud too, hmm? Montana didn't win shyt away from SF. Guess he's trash too.

:beli: hurt yall bad.

That doesn't really dispute what I said - you're focusing on having one bad game, my post is about the year as a whole, and how it's symptomatic of larger issues.

Belichick taking a rookie QB to the playoffs isn't a super large accomplishment to me, given that other so-so coaches have done it before, and actually won a playoff game. And Bill Walsh's resume without Montana is better than Belichick's without Brady :manny:

I'm shytting on Bill right now because I'm pissed off, we'll see this upcoming year :beli:

Stop wasting your time - his sole purpose on this board is to tell you Brady gets too much credit.

Ahh no. In 2004 Brady want even top 5 in stats. Dude had 3600 yards with 28 TDs and 14 INTs.

Whats so hard with crediting his defense and coaches his early years? Dude wasnt asked to do much his first 3 rings.

Now after his first 3 rings, he became what he is today. Those years are what defined him.

No one looks back at 2001 and say wow, Brady killed it that run...

Who said I'm not crediting his defense?

What I'm disputing is this notion that he was "carried" by his defenses back then. Not really. My point is that they were complimentary football teams.

People bytched after Beli's first year without Tom about not making the playoffs with one of the worse active QBs (Cam).

The following year Beli makes the playoffs with a rookie QB and are bytching cuz they didnt win.

See a trend here?
None of this happened. The only trend is you being a weirdo. Only surprising this is @Roid Jones cosigning your bullshyt. We all talked about how great of a job he did considering the circumstances but you over here using trolls as a source.

Name a QB who won a ring with only 1 TD in 3 playoff games including the SB. Go!

I'm co-signing because it's true, people are using Brady NOW to compare with a rookie Mac Jones, the arguments are disingenuous as fukk, Brady grew to become the GOAT, saying he was 'top 3' in the 01 run or ignoring that Brady was on the field for only two of the six touchdowns scored in the 01 run is clown shyt
