In reality we should have known that they would only go so far with a rookie QB regardless. Bill did a great job getting them to the playoffs but the are not the elite team that the media tried to make them out to be either during their winning streak. They need to get Jones some real weapons that can make plays after the catch and not these 2nd and 3rd tier players they have been relying on for entirely to long at this point.

That's what I'm saying there is something there with Jones if we really want to develop him Bill needs to get him weapons

We spent $100 million and got a pro ready QB

the best we can manage is 10-7? :mjtf:

fukking REX RYAN went 9-7 and made the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP in 2009

The fukking Falcons went 11-5 with rookie Matt Ryan

The fukking colts went 11-5 with Andrew Luck

dikk Juaron went 13-3 with God knows who at QB with the Chicago Bears in 2003

This year, Sean Payton took an iniury riddled and covid riddled Saints team and went 9-8, with Trevor Siemian, Taysom Hill, Jameis Winston.

I expect a little more out of Bill Belichick who is supposed to be the GOAT Coach after he spent $100 mil in free agency :gucci:

Your fukkign up my team. Brady carried his ass.

DRAFT A BIG PLAY RECEIVER

This is just....talk about cherry picking. 9ers got smoked by the Giants with JOE MONTANA (granted he got injured) Not even a rookie QB...I guess Bill Walsh is a dud too, hmm? Montana didn't win shyt away from SF. Guess he's trash too.

:beli: hurt yall bad.

The 86 Giants had prime LT, went 14-2 and dominated the entire league

It was a terrible performance, but at the end of the day, this team went to the playoffs with a rookie QB. Arguably the worst defensive performance I've ever seen, but there are many positives for the Patriots to take from this season.

And, NO ONE wins in Cleveland. He had no free-agency or salary cap when he started coaching in Cleveland. Brady got to choose exactly where he wanted to go, and he deserved to be able to do that. But, those clowning Belichick may very well look like massive idiots over the next few years.

Last night is not a knock on Mac Jones, but you can see the difference between him and an ELITE QB in Josh Allen.:yeshrug:.

Belichick should not have full player personnel power. He is not a good GM, especially when it comes to offensive players. Over 20 years, the main hits he's had are Moss (gift wrapped), Welker, Edelman, Gronk and Aaron Hernandez. With Welker and Edelman, how much of that was Brady? Neither did anything before or after Brady and the fall-offs were QUICK.

Parcells is the GOAT. I will die on that hill.

Welker did stuff after Brady. He had $
778 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games with the Broncos in 2013. He wasn't washed at that point. His yards went down but that's because the Broncos had Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker and Julius Thomas.

I'll say Welker has very bad Super Bowl fortune though. He lost two Super bowls in New England and then he goes to Denver and loses another one in his first year there. In his second year in Denver, New England wins a Super Bowl. Denver doesn't retain Welker following that second year and then they win the Super Bowl .

Biggest think I took away from this game is that was exhibit A why the 9ers took a Trey Lance over a Mac Jones, and that's not a knock on Mac it's just reality. That athleticism, mobility and big arm gives a QB a ceiling that's just ridiculous, we've seen Allen grow into it over the years and tonight was special.

I don't think taking that swing 15th overall was wrong by any means, but Belli made life hard tying himself at the hip with a QB who's a statue and doesn't have an arm built for cold weather in this day and age - especially when Bill struggles so mightily with finding skill position talent.

I'm not a Mac Jones fan, but he's actually more athletic than a lot of people think. In yesterday's game he rolled out and made some good throws and even ran for the first down on 3rd and long if I recall correctly.

P.G. County
Naw, Gibbs ruined his shyt when he came back out retirement
He made the playoffs twice in 4 years with Mark Brunell and he has the last playoff win for the organization (2006)
3 Superbowls with 3 different QBs is amazing.

Beli only made the playoffs twice in 9 years without Brady.

Edit: Campbell/Collins was the 2nd appearance
