I have a kid and I'm a parent 7 days a week. I understand an aspect of life you are completely ignorant to right now. When you think like a child still you have your thoughts but when you see parenting on the other side you realize certain truths. Spanking is right. Abuse is wrong. you will realize this if you can get past whoever DDTd the shyt outta you for spilling kool-aid on the carpet

While I was walking from the library of the college I go to. This Black/Hispanic girl was threatening her son. She said, "you better behave before I take you to the bathroom and beat your ass" . After I heard her say that out loud I said to myself wow she's a conformist . We got the beating our kids mentality from our oppressor. Especially, when us as slaves were beat with the whip and crack whip. That's how the term cracker which I do NOT use originated. I'm saying we as Black folk need to upgrade and modify our technique when disciplining our children. Because that right there is still what's keeping us as a slave mentally. Also, I would NEVER beat my kids. However, I would take away their positions like my parents did me and ground them

Moms and pops (really only moms, pops beat me ONCE my whole life) put discipline in me...hell, the thought of being whooped helped me make some better decisions. Big deterrent, shouldn't be beating your kids past like 12-14 tho, then its really abuse.


Spankings were like last resort in my house growing up. When talking and punishment didn't help, that spanking made it VERY clear what and what was not allowed in the house....I'm grateful for them to this day

BUt the thing is, in REALITY that will never happen. So just do away with it all together.

Jail system is corrupt and isn't stopping people from doing crimes we should do away with it completely.

We got enough kids growing up thinking they are untouchable and hiding behind guns simply because no one ever disciplined them the right way if at all. This isn't a black people problem, or slave mentality its common sense. Pain lets you know that what you did wrong, and what you probably shouldn't do again. You think that Hot stove cares what color or you ideologies about pain? It'll teach your kid a quick lesson about the do's and don'ts and your kid will get the point with no love lost.

Nowadays punishing a kid is almost useless at a certain age, there are to many ways to get around, access, or just entertain yourself.
