Media got him fired today. He would have made it to the end of the season. Whats the point today? Still gotta pay him. GM should be next honestly
This is my point. The kinda bone headed leadership that does stuff like this will never be shyt.

They didn't gain anything from doing this hell it makes the front office look worse. At least give the appearance you're a stable hand making calculated decisions and not running things off hot takes off First Take and First Things First.

I'd want to show the next coach we gonna give basic dignity to the head coach. This is just scapegoating the HC for their own incompetence.

Like i said last year

He should have been fired as well with the OC since you drafting a NEW QB with the first pick

They better go after Detroit OC as head coach and bring in a defensive coordinator who actually knows how to blitz

Very.

Of all the potential franchises that will be looking for a coach, how many have a better roster than Chicago? The Bears are an offensive line and a competent coaching staff away from being in the mix. They're already in 1 score games with a rookie QB being lead by one of, if not the worst situational coach in NFL history

this plus the bears have a ton of draft picks in 2025 to get the OL right. major market team with a potentially generational QB, plus solid players at the skill positions.

Should have fired him at the end of last season.

 Nah, the last thing Bears fans would want to happen is for him to go into job-saving mode, finish with 7-9 wins and sell that to management that the team is headed in the "right direction" with him in charge :mjlol:, return next year, and the same thing happens AGAIN. :scust: @Brozay @Deafheaven @GoldenGlove @beenz @BBG @jerniebert

fukk that, bush him, and keep it pushin. :camby:

Just like it had to be done here in N.O. with Stinky :jordanfacepalm: @King Poetic
And you think the interim coach won't try and win games? He's auditioning for another job on another team because the next coach is likely clearing house.

Have you looked at their remaining schedule? It's brutal and they got like 8 losses. If they didn't fire him when it meant something just let him finish out the season. They aren't going to hire someone else right now and with Caleb they'll swing big on a coach and not default to the interim.

Firing him with 5 games left in the regular season is classless. It was obvious he should have been fired well before then but they held on. The sort of incompetence people running the team doing stuff like this will continue to fail at running the team.
I think youre missing the part where he lost the locker room. This is a bad take (no offense)

you have been shytposting in here since you arrived.

Flus is a historically 1 of 1 bad coach.

this was a decision to preserve the sanity of the players moreso than wins.

They almost beat the best team in the NFC and you saying he lost the locker room. Didn't look like it to me.

He clearly was getting fired but there wasn't a point to firing him 70% into the season. What do you gain for the 30% of the games left when your record has pretty much eliminated you from the playoffs?

the bears almost won despite eberflus's gross negligence all season.

I don't know why you keep asking this question when it's been answered over and over.
You worried about the Bears maintaining some type of decorum after yesterday's disaster of an ending? What are you, high? :heh:

Go look at the response from fans and players online in light of hearing about the firing. You think they are worried about whether or not it was in poor taste or "classless" lmao. No, you let him finish, you're probably going to see people curse the team on social media, ticket sales plummet, players stop giving AF, etc.
