man stfu you speaking nothingness :heh:
No this is the sort of move made when someone higher up in the organization fears for their job. They create a spectacle and fire a coach 70% of the way into the season to distract from the fact that they were why a fukk up of a coach was still in place. If they're still running things expect the same results.

It's purely an optics move to try and scapegoat, appease, and distract from that. Sic the mob on the coach and hopefully everyone doesn't look higher up.

Oh no....... not the epic QB guru Eberflop?! Funniest part is the free agent signing binge they went on in this passed off season would have served them better with Fields at the helm giving them the dual threat. He didn't get fired over the clock...... he got fired because he didn't have anyone else to blame........ management had sunshine left to blame though....... and they saved their own asses.......... for now.......... ain't no more fingers to point except the ones pointing back at you

His lack of accountability was nasty

He doubled down after the game too on his clock management

He will never get another HC gig again. Then again he is a cac so anything is possible.

That's the biggest issue there. You can make a decision like Dan Campbell during the playoffs last year and double down on those fourth down decisions and two point attempt decisions. You can point to analytics or saying you were going for the kill in those situations. However, there is NO excuse for what happened yesterday, and to double down and say you'd do that again in insane. It was an objectively horrible decision and clock management there. It's not even up for debate.

people who don’t watch football or even sports regularly were all like wtf…?

On top everything else during his tenure. This might be the worst coach I’ve ever seen in my life. And doesn’t take any responsibility for anything.

Since hes been the head coach, he never actually coached anything when the game counted. This is who he is, the world saw it. He’s not built for big moments nor leading men, he’ll be a decent cordinator somewhere tho but under an established head couch like Nagy going to Andy type situation.

These boys need to be led. Harbaugh, from a leadership perspective would have been a good fit imo.

They looked like clowns on the national stage but they also advertised the teams potential, they were competitive with every good team. These bozos can turn this around with the right moves moving forward and start making money to sell the team eventually.

Losing 3 games to your divisional rivals on the last play of the game in consecutive games itself is relatively terminable....yesterday was definitely a clean your desk moment. Props to the bears for pulling the trigger.

*edit - i can't give the bears props for shyt :mjlol:
So what happened in these past 3 games?

:dead: at the edit and stricken through :russ:

we just witnessed a crazy stretch of coaching incompetence since the Hail Mary in DC

first time in history Bears fired a coach midseason

Im happy for the players, they needed this fukking weight off their shoulders
let them play free and enjoy whatever is left on the season and put 100% focus on building around Caleb
