I think BVS could of been better if it had a better script, better pacing and better editing.

Thing is, most the animated movies are JUST as dark... If not darker
I still believe the WB execs were the biggest issues of the movie. They caused the editing fiasco and too busy trying to copy Marvel instead of becoming an equal but opposite entity

It'll be interesting to see if the Batman v Superman Director's cut still has a lot of the same pacing and editing issues. If it does then you gotta blame Terrio and Snyder. If it's corrected, then you gotta blame the executives for making those cuts...

Marvel has a curiosity factor about its characters and they also have convincability.
that dc ruined by making and running reruns of campy bullshyt for close to the past forty to fifty years.
Plus in our exact gen's superman, batman and hulk Hogan single handedly created what phoney is.
Then on top of that wb consistently created phoney bullshyt.
even after they re-righted the batman ship with Tim burton.
So, dc has themselves to blame for creating revenue grab low quality submissions with flagship properties.
Imo, this is the first time dc has actually listened and imo they are doing well with the direction of the Snyder films.
All of which I like and fit in a cinematic cog to what if the dark knight universe was applied to all dc on film.
I have hated dc all my life because they are what phoney is.
yet the flash v show and these movies are steps in the right direction.
Marvel has always gotten it right more or less and has a longer streak related to quality.
So, dc trying to compare themselves to the convincability and permeation marvel has is because they have an out of touch exec at the helm.
Johns is a good move in the right direction and personally dc needs to move into making flash.
its flagship gateway character cause it is a brighter character and more relatable because it is better written and has better continuity and content.
than the other main gateway characters in batman or supes.
As both batman and supes are oversaturated and lost its convincability outside the dark knight realm.
Plus the dark knight realm is not real dc continuity.
it is what if and at the end of the day.
Dc offers no translatable content after the dark knight to along with its draw with casual fans..
In all regards, dc is operating on what if style content to aid them and have never really made great gateway appealing content in this Gen.
Imo, they never had any permeation as a gateway property with convincability.
Like real talk,....
Other than batman or superman death style books.
What batman or superman story has gateway permeation and that is why dc will lose trying to compare themselves to marvel.
Who have a number of continuity gateway based storylines to use in the past thirty years.
Dc does not have this and it is because dc is owned by Warner and Warner really does not understand its properties or draw.
All wb knows is ol school film house ideals about generating. Revenue.
They operate on x number of films times base revenue and that will not work with a comic book property based film.
As this draw and sector of comic book film is completely fan boy based and wb/dc really has not produced anything other than preacher in the past thirty years that a fanboy will lose his shyt over.
Plus the fact the main comic universe in dc was made so campy and phoney.

If dc makes any campy material in this film universe.
They will ruin it all with one movie.
Right now, they still have intrigue and if they sniff around fukking it up.
It will damage any movie they plan forever comic book wise.
Also,...they are making another large mistake.
Not having the flash from the tv show not be flash.
Which is exactly why they had to reboot superman with man of steel.
All cause they slighted a real box office draw in the actor from smallville as superman.
So, dc one again is messing up like how they do.
All because they are completely out of touch as far what to make and how to make it.
Right now as far as bvs it is an excellent reboot.

when that could have been a disaster in itself off top.
So, people shytting on Snyder I have to really ask,...if he did not do this movie.
Do you think you could have tolerated Ben Affleck as batman.
If Snyder does not do the post apocalyptic batman uses a gun and kills setup for doomsday.
Ben Affleck and his more aggressive batman never works and real talk,...i don't see another director being able to make people just accept the idea ben Affleck was batman.
