It's been so long since I read Killing Joke. Forgot how depraved Joker was in it. The ending is my fav ending of a comic.

I enjoyed the movie. Mark Hamill still got it after all these years. :ehh:

The Joker`s back story was decent although I feel like they could've dug deeper. The batgirl story/narrative was kind of unnecessary to the purpose of the film.

Animation was on point. The Joker looked scary and crazy. Kind of reminiscent of batman the animated series.

The movie itself could've been 2hrs, but it's all good.

I would say that it's probably on the level of batman under the red hood.:yeshrug:

Mark Hamill great as always, The Killing Joke itself is great, animations a bit stiff, I feel that it's a bit of feminist propaganda, the Batgirl short story, they could have spent the time doing either a joker short story before doing the killing joke or having Batgirl and Batman doing something that joker related....

Alan Moore isn't it great writer for women, but Bat girl as a character on her own isn't even that great, it felt like a waste of energy to put that short in the beginning of the movie, they could have just put that as part of a solo bat girl movie

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I've read a lot of complaints about the Batman/Batgirl relationship. Is everyone forgetting that Batman/Batgirl had a relationship in one of the most celebrated verses in DC, the DCAU?

They even expanded on it in the Batman Beyond comics recently. I liked Bruce Timm's explanation for it - "It's wrong...but it's supposed to be." It's really not a hard concept for me to grasp like it apparently is for some people.

Maybe it just feels tacked on. I haven't seen it.

Yet. :youngsabo:

went to see this last night in the theater. it was packed in there, and they were doing multiple theaters for a 730 and a 1030 show.

i was sitting there waiting for babs and bats to get it in. but dikk grayson aint in the movie, so to me it didnt really carry the same weight it does in the Beyond book.

they showed this Mark Hammil short about how he came to be the joker and how he feels about portraying him. that was before the movie started, then after there was a doc about making the movie. i left before that started though.

I didnt get the ending... The movie was underwhelming, it felt more of a drama piece than thriller or action

The ending is meant to be interperted to a deeper meaning i get it, but we've already disected Batman and Joker's relationship
It cant get any deeper to what we can interperet
