This was okay. A lot of the stuff from the comic worked and I didn't mind the prologue. And the thing that happens in the prologue simply does what Bruce Timm only hinted at in the animated series although I'm not sure how necessary it was. Actually, it wasn't necessary at all. He said it was done for a couple reasons, mostly to show how both barbara and bruce made mistakes but yeah that could've been illustrated differently. It didn't offend me at all, just kinda pointless in the grand scheme of the movie.
It's a very faithful adaptation other than that but I think that shows that maybe this isn't something that should be adapted because it's not that long. The story would need to be padded out and that didn't work completely here

Yeah I don't see it as sexist. It's a fukked up story with fukked up acts committed by a fukked up character. It's not going to be pretty nor should it. But this does make her look weak and like a school girl with a crush rather than an accomplished crime fighter

, I think this would work better with just doing a dark or scary Joker story before the killing joke, you could have done a story with the dentist that he kidnaps at the start of the movie, that only gets a passing reference
I feel the Batgirl story was tacked on to appease I hate to do this the feminist, who don't like the implication that maybe Barbara was raped or sexually abused during The Killing Joke story arc, I feel the Batgirl story in the beginning, works as its own thing that you could do for batgirl movie, but not for the killing joke itself
