TDK is universally praised as a masterpiece by professional critics and fans alike world wide, but we should throw those reviews away for some clown on the coli because he is a writer with nothing to his credit :mjlol:

Alright breh we believe you @Master Teacher

I never met a serous adult male who says the dark knight or any superhero film is masterpiece
nobody I respect says this movie is a master, who are these people you are referring too, internet reviewers, lol

also, because the hype of this movie was what it was, (it's already losing luster and status by the way)

does that mean it's above being critically viewed

I said it doesn't have a plot I listed other movies that were good movies that didn't have a plot

the absents of a plot is why the movie has terrible pacing, add in with nolan's horrible ability at directing action, the movie is a chore to watch

look i don't wanna get involved in this scriptwriting debate you guys are having cause i honestly i could give 2 shyts... but i can't stand when someone brings up other people's opinions as validation of their own. if you wanna reference someone else's review cause you think they made a great point, and it's something you agree with, and you feel it's relevant to the discussion... then fine. but to just sit there and say "oh the critics liked it so it must be good"... or even vice versa.... "the critics hated it so it must be bad".... that shyt is weak. say how YOU feel.

fukk critics. the fukk do they know? they're just movie goers like everyone else. roger ebert, one of the most esteemed critics of all time, recommended the phantom menace.:heh:

do you have any idea how many AWFUL movies currently have a fresh rating on RT?

When that nikka opinion borders stupidity of course I can use the general public coupled with acclaim critics to discredit him or you :mjlol:

:dead:This fool spent the entire day on this thread arguing that he doesn't like TDK because it doesn't have a plot. Then ends by saying even if it did have a plot he still wouldn't like it. What a delusional fukking troll. No wonder he's been given the title of WOAT. He got booted out of one room and came in here to troll our threads.

:heh:Writer my ass. This liar can't even write a proper sentence. You don't get a WOAT title if you are a REAL writer with any sense. Dude is the definition of a retarded troll.

Thread is getting heated:whew:

Batman still hasn't been properly done in any of the live action films:yeshrug:, the way Nolan dumbed-down "The World's Greatest Detective":scust:

Batman 89 is also the second most important comic book movie after Superman 78. Sparked a new life into the genre and was the biggest film of the year, you don't get the surge that came after it without it.

And u got a$$holes in here saying it wasn't a landmark film even tho they weren't around when it came out...I mean this shyt ain't opinion...it's FACT...u can't deny the movie's impact...whether u liked it or not its another argument....me personally...I felt both were dope...both are great superhero movies that were groundbreaking for their time...but IMO Batman '89 felt more like BATMAN to me....Gotham city felt like Gotham city....Tim Burton brought u to another world with his films...this is why I hold Batman and Batman Returns to high esteem....those key elements...and I believe Jack Nicholson did an Excellent job bridging the gap between dark and funny....Heath Ledger did an excellent job of being evil..menacing..and convincing....both Jokers were fantastic for different reasons....

i think those may be 1 and 2 as well but i think in time avengers may creep in. we are on the cusp of something huge here. i mean just look at the next 5 years. shyt is going to be insane. all these crossovers and all these mega event flicks... shyt is really about to pop.

avengers will go down as the movie that made this all possible. that was a clear turning point in the momentum of the genre.

So Cal
The batman franchise nearly fukked up the whole comic genre. Spiderman more important.

If you have to be born when the shyt came out to know it's a landmark.... then the shyt ain't a landmark. Sorry to break it to you guys.

Batman '89 felt like a movie about Batman.

TDK felt like a movie about a guy who dresses up like a Bat. Too much realism in comic book movies kills all the fun.

Yall nikkaz need to go outside

nikkaz actually stanning movies

movies that don't make sense

They point out batman doesn't kill, yet in the first one he kills Ra's Al Ghul

In the Dark Knight, he goes throw all the trouble of stopping the joker and sparing his life, ONLY TO KILL TWO-FACE FIVE MINUTES LATER:russ:

Only a friendless nerd would call this piece of shyt a masterpiece

A lot of nonsensical things happened in the The Dark Knight. Why on earth would two face team up with the joker after he destroyed dude's face and killed his fiance? I think the movie outsmarted itself there.
