I'm old enough to remember my movie experience watching Batman '89 as a seven year old and the impact the movie made on viewers during the movie, after and it's social impact. I still have some of the Topps trading cards they had for Batman '89. It's still a iconic movie and the soundtrack still goes.
However, TDK did it better as the characters enhanced who they played . Felt a little like the opposite with Batman '89 . Egos were more into play in that movie. If Ledger didn't die so soon, there wouldn't be an argument on which was the better film .
