Foot dexterity is a lot harder to master than hand dexterity
hoops requires elite feet as well

developing touch & control requires crazy time put in when it comes to football i acknowledge this

but all those crossovers stepbacks spin.moves hard.cuts & hesi's are built on footwork too

it's why pedestrians get put on their ass ankles snap knees tore hips popped trying to dance with elite hoopers

:mjlol: I get the feeling people are just much more emotional about soccer and will say anything

No, your're just being entrenched and aren't even having a logical discussion. Most of the soccer brehs in here never took anything away from basketball...but to say shyt in soccer comes down to luck is fukking stupid and proves to me you've prolly never played an organized sport in your life.

there is a reason why during the world cup the whole world sits down and appreciates the flare on display coz we all have tried our luck into the sport but failed to make the grade, but i understand how those never exposed to the real sport will support basketball etc even a cricket fan will argue cricket is better but soccer/real football is no joke brehs

i might be confusing you with another poster, u say u understand the strains of playing football at a certai level but somehow im taking it like despite all your experiences with football u think bball requires more
football requires more skill development & conditioning

but hoops is the better blend of elite examples of all attributes

Nope, you guys are just too emotionally invested and lack any coherence to make a sound logical argument.

You talk about goals "EVERY WEEK' by any one player. How is ONE goal per week by one player in ONE game impressive? How does that prove that the goal in that particular in game isn't LUCK if it only happens once in a blue by that particular player? There is NO consistency to prove otherwise :snoop:.

I'm sorry to shatter the ego of soccer fans in here, but that ONE a week goal just does NOT require or demonstrate GREATER athletic ability than someone who can drop 30 points per game in the NBA in a position that requires elite level eye, hand and foot coordination and accuracy such as a PG.

And yeah, I never played organized soccer, all the real athletes at my HS and college were in football and basketball...soccer was for the white kids who couldn't make he team :sas2:.

And just for the recor, I'm an NFL head before anything else, but I can admit an NBA PG all around is the most competitive and skill based position in all of sports

People are switching has always been part of the game:gucci:. You see it more today, because teams are playing much more on the perimeter while using flare and on-ball screens to create mismatches. You don't really have post players like that anymore where the game was played from inside out.

You didnt answer the first question tho.

Players now are too lazy to go around screens to defend and fight through screens, so you are almost forced to always switch as a team or you give up wide open looks. Why you think guys like DeRozan are switched onto the least capable offensive player? They don't want to expend energy to D up. And that is my point. You are acting in general players are chasing everyone off a screen like they Avery Bradley. Thats not even true for majority of the teams nowadays. Barely half the fukking teams defend as it is. You act like majority of the time there is ball movement, but really after the first action, guys just sit around and start ball watching. And thats for majority of the teams, not GS, who are the exception.

And add to my original point, the avg EPL midfielder covers around 7 miles per game. CJ McCollum, the guy who on avg covered the most distance out of anyone this past yr, avgs 2.7 miles per game. Aint even a fukking comparison.

Yeah he's off base with the luck shyt.

How hard is it to play goalie?

I'm 6'5. I think I could hold my own against some decent soccer players. I asked some Nigerians at work if I could come play goalie with them, they just laughed and said I would be to slow.

Let's keep it 100...soccer is just easier and cheaper to play which is why it's more popular. Basketball is catching on worldwide as well because it's easier to understand. NFL football is probably amongst the least popular world wide because the rules are simply too complicated

if u never played the sport u wont understand, man even the coach and subs on the sidelines be stressed as fukk from just reading the game..goalkeepers be the most tired fukkers on the pitch off concentration alone:russ:

just because i had one practice match and was put in to play in only one game of bball just to make numbers doesnt mean bball is easy..there is more to football than a bunch of 10 year old girls with their mothers shouting in the sidelines shouting than you think
