I'm at the gym watching Senegal v Poland on TV.

First Senegal looks like a good team, I enjoyed watching them play.

Second, then dudes as gifted as they are are not running up and down the field straight for 90 mins.

Most of the time they're to be jogging.

You put any CB in the NFL on a soccer field just to run around I'm sure they could adapt. The endurance part is not that impressive to me.

To be honest college level DBs would be the us athletes I woukd like to see on a soccer field, since they use they're feet and hips more than anyone in the major sports

it's like expecting backline defenders & goalkeepers to have the touch of frontline forwards

that never happens
thats actually how the top clubs require from their first team players..goalkeepers that can hold and pass the ball, defenders than can actually play!..most defenders now are converted midfielders and most midfielders are converted forwards/strikers eg evra is a natural forward but played defence professionally

Either way, there is little actual "skill" in soccer that translates into anything tangible to define it by. The scoring and "wow" moments are so rare and infrequent and low, that a lot of the time it just comes off as "luck." In the NBA, its statistically and visually easy to prove that Kyrie is an elite PG where others are not.

That is entirely untrue. As someone who watches the sport and plays it damn near weekly. "luck" happens when the previous 3/4ths of a dribble or possession were done correctly.

There's nothing lucky about this goal....

THIS.

Alot of soccer is "almost scoring" So showing Messi highlights means nothing

in basketball you are constantly antagonized by a world class athlete specifically appointed to you on both offense and defense

Basketball has the skilled, the athletic and the freak of nature all on the same court

The whole soccer>>>american sports shyt is just boatgang showing their ass:camby:

Yall nikkas vouch for eurocacs. We vouch for our own. Lets keep it 100

of course they are professionals

but there are tiers of skill

if they had it they wouldn't be in the back or stuck in goal

You can post all the videos all that you like, but like I said the "wow" factor is too infrequent and it rarely occurs with one player on a consistent basis. it just looks "lucky" to me.

When I watch Steph Curry effortlessly cross people over and sink 6 3-pointers from 22 or more feet with a defender, night after night, I just don't consider that "luck", I consider it a skill. There's a consistency there that takes luck out of the equation

Show me a soccer player who would be the equivalent of a Steph Curry on that basis. Who is there? Ronaldo, Messi??

And good goals happen every week breh. Again, this must be an exposure thing...wondergoals literally happen EVERY WEEK. And happen OFTEN in the World Cup.

You saying the shyt rarely occurs and I'm calling bullshyt when top class players score great goals damn near every week.
