I understand as a Haitian it's only right you come into their defence, I'm African so I understand, however we can't begin to rewrite history. These resources and scholarships were for African Americans, it's insulting to the hard work African Americans spent years building for a better standard of living for their children for you to say all those African Americans fighting were doing it for 'blacks in America' or 'Nigerians in America'. No, no that's incorrect. These resources were always for African Americans, fought for by African Americans and died for by African Americans.
'Blacks in America' ofcourse now benefit from the hard work African Americans did but that doesn't mean that the fact they benefit from it means it was initally meant for them.
Is there a reason African Americans will be 'threatened' by Haitains while not being 'threatened' by Nigerians ? Honestly.....
You honestly think this is them being 'jealous' ? lol. funny.
1. Don't patronize me.
2. Show me where these scholarships said exclusively for AAs (as opposed to blacks or "negroes"). The point of the scholarships were to increase the number of BLACKS. Yes, AAs were present at the time they were founded (and probably were expected to benefit from them) but the main purpose of the scholarships were to increase the number of BLACKS. And even if you can prove that those scholarships were made specifically for AAs, what does that say about AAs that non-AA blacks are beating them to scholarships designed for them?
3. AAs are just as threatened by Africans as they are by Caribbeans (Haitians). Don't re-write history and act like Africans don't look down on AAs and vice-versa. Your bias is showing.
