That's one of my biggest regrets

Went to a private PWI because they gave me a scholarship for D2 football

Come to find out the head coach was racist

And a number of the white players were too

My family had a whole legacy at an HBCU in Arkansas

But I missed out on the greatest college experience there is because of scholarship money

Such is life

:francis:

Damn I feel u. I always wondered what my college dating life would have been like at HBCU.

Probably would've met some potential black wives

I lowkey regret not even visiting one just for fun

Now the more career moves I make, the less black people I see

I've always said that getting into a relationship with a woman below or on your level is easy. That's how I get p*ssy.

Also note that the coli is FULL of stories of women cheating on their boyfriends or husbands with better looking guys.

Regular casual sex, however, is reserved for the above average men. And no one can prove otherwise.

People do all that, but are they consistently happy when they're not posing for the camera? Yes most men can find A woman, but are they going to be happy if he with her because that's all he can do? What amount of work and hoop-jumping did he do? How complete is he before her, when the self-work done doesn't open certain doors, is he satisfied with that?

When a woman hasn't learned that sexual options =/= commitment options necessarily, will they be satisfied with the commitment option not bringing the tangibles of the sexual options? Are they going to stay down through storms or select the bolded word (divorce) because of the safety net provided?

These pictures don't answer these questions. We're seeing what they (the couples) want us to see.
I think this mentality is too much cerebral to be practical. No one can guarantee with any certainty that any relationship will work. We know very little about these couples, but at the very least, we know that they were brave enough to step out of their comfort zones to try with another human being.

That basic social skill and willingness to be vulnerable instead of allowing anxiety to build seemingly insurmountable mental barriers to even the smallest attempts at human interaction is something MANY are struggling with.

We can’t even get to quality control because people are shooting their feet off before they start the race. And doing so, in many cases, based off negative depictions in the media or other experiences.

All of this is just mental masturbation in an attempt at existential procrastination. We aren’t dealing with well adjusted men and women who have accounted for their own biases, negative behaviors, social skill deficits, communication issues and hang ups. Who aren’t arrogant or entitled and have balanced dispositions. We are dealing with pretenders who refuse to face these issues aboit themselves and are more interested in blaming the opposite sex to distract from the real reasons why they can’t maintain pair-bonds even as others find a way to muddle through.

True....we get shytted on so much but we don't seem as critical or nickpickey as some other race men
ofcourse we're not. we actively embrace what was considered unsightly for women and made it popular.

though, i cant say im happy about it all the time. its ok for black men to have standards

You're assuming people aren't interacting with others humans because they have qualms with 21st century. That's a very big jump. Most people are still "trying", that's why they have the stories they have. Some people will play the sideline but everyone isn't cut out for the game.

This may be a difference in gender and resulting perspectives, men have to be more cerebral than not as consequence is typically a bigger thing for us. We always have to figure out if a particular glass of juice is worth the squeeze or not, and that doesn't just apply to women/relationships. Many men with no options can work towards trying to be somebody's boyfriend, and any man with options can just pick one and "settle down". The question for each man is "is it worth it?"
