theres a movie called Fresh that takes place in the Bronx
i love this movie (to the point i found the chuck.e smiley) because it captures everything about my childhood
when i was kid, EVERYONE loved the Punisher
alotta them probably didnt read a word of his story but just knew he had guns and was killin shyt
i might be the ONLY person outa all my crimeys (save for my bms brother who put me on) that actually reads comic books
cause i like the art (i always wished i could draw)
i like that feeling of escape (i been thru hell)
and shyt is just dope to me
i never got into DC like that cause you know how when you was young everyone wanna make their own lil nickname (before some old drunk muthafukka ultimately gives you your real one)
and everyone was some shyt outa Marvel lol
we had all types of punisher graffiti, daredevil graffiti, wolverine got hot, and of course New Yorkers just love Spider Man in general
noone in DC really touched the hood like that
noone was that live
and honestly i think thats why when a Marvel thread gets made about the flix, and DC fans jump in and get weird
thats how New Jersey suburban folks would act when they aint the main topic of discussion
Marvel just go the crack
got muthafukkas who NEVER read Guardians of the Galaxy when it dropped in what 06? askin why its so comical and cheesey

I'm guessing you also brought up the movie though in regards to what that one kid said in it about Punisher, that Big Pun also had used in his intro to his Capital Punishment album, lol.

Batman became the biggest comic book character ever since that first movie dropped in 89 - 90

They fukked up after the sequel but The Gawd Nolan brought The Dark Knight back to the top spot where he belongs


I watched this Avengers movie online for free before going to the movies to see it yesterday and I'm glad I did that because I probably would've been disappointed

It was not as good as the first one but most sequels are worse than the originals with the exception of Back To the Future & Lethal Weapon movies

I hear you though, but I didn't grow up in the hood and never claimed to so clearly we're coming from different perspectives. Like I don't know a soul who really likes the punisher. In my crew, everyone has their favorites and surprisingly, they all match our personalities: Spider-Man, Iron Man, Flash, Superman, Batman and then I got my one homie who's favorite superhero is probably Scarface..the character and the rapper

We just didn't care man, we were into whatever was on tv and in movies at the time

After all the meh mumblings I had heard about it, I didn't have very high hopes. Ultron was a very very dope villain. I'm gonna need to see the directors cut. That scene with Klaw was classic. That was dope as fukk. That whole scene was well done. The beginning fight scene blew me away though. Straight out a comic book.
