Wow this shyt was fire. Visually stunning and beautiful. The family aspect i really enjoyed. I understand jake’s POV in this film since he knows what the enemy is capable of. Hate to even say it but watching this really pisses me off more about what we didnt get in Wakanda Forever from world building and strong male characters smh

I thought the water tribe chief was Boba Fett but turns out it was the most racially ambiguous man in Hollywood
Cliff Curtis

Very surprised to learn the older daughter was sigourney weaver again. I kinda confused Weaver with Susan Sarandon and thought her daughter was playing the character. Was like “didn’t know she could play a character like this:ehh:

:mjlol: At Stephen lang beating up the dragon to train it.

Last set piece was insane, made BP2 climax look real amateur tbh

Doesn't feel like a 3hr flick. You'll be immersed in it you won't care you've been in the theater that long. Bring some food, smoke a blizz before.

Imma catch it after the holidays when it’s less going on. I’m not invested enough in the plot where I gotta catch it ASAP. Plus I found out the IMAX screen at my location ain’t even Laser :stopitslime: making plans to hit the Dolby spot now.

I was feeling underwhelmed by the story too but about a half hour in you start to realize what Cameron is doing. Definitely hit the best theater up tho.

Survival of the fittest
The dummies at the IMAX I went too gave us Real 3D glasses, and everybody had to make a mass exodus during the Antman preview to get the right ones......But Man this movie was beautiful :to:
Flawless CGI, and better story than the first one.
The middle part was slow, but the first and final thirds made up for it.

And them Zoe Saldana kills :damn:

The biggest complaint from critics is the simplicity of the plot.
In my opinion it's a lot of complex and dense things going on amongst the characters
yeah its a simple ass plot thats not that engaging but about halfway thru I was like "well this is just an adventure, i'll watch and probably never visit it again but its a fun little adventure."

Father - Son
Brother - Sister
Sister - Sister
Brother - Brother
Mother - Children
Estranged Father - Son
brotherhood amongst men
sympathy with neighbors and community

are all incredibly complex, and different relationships and dynamics in life and this touches on each of them well in a way that is very difficult to do in a movie. I'll give it props for that.
