The year 3030
i'll prefix this by saying i've never seen the first one..and as a stand alone flick it was cool...I think 30ish minutes could've been cut out, especially the exposition/narration scenes..I didn't need him to tell me that's his family...like no shyt, even an idiot like me can infer the people he hanging out with is his family.
so this world got different "races" of avatars? they ain't just tree people? are we gonna get underground ones next movie?

i liked all the robot shyt, reminded me of power rangers/transformers/alien.

i :russ: every time they hissed like cats

even though that was his "dad', spider should've offed him...cause hre gon come back and kill'em

Lemongrass, cherries, alkaline water
Just came back from the cinema, i caved in and went to the 8pm slot. Was about 35min late and still made sure to get my whiskey drink before i go in

The visuals were :ehh: to :whoo:

But why is there a bob marley ass looking human in there living with them people :dahell:

I must say the storyline left a lot to be desired...maybe its cause i was late and also watched the first one only once back in 2009.

Overall: 6.5 / 10
Why show up to a movie 35 mins late? :heh:

Are there any major differences between RealD 3D and Imax? Not sure I wanna spend 3X the price on imax tickets.

I saw Black Panther 2 on IMAX and this one on RealD 3D. Did not see any noticeable differences but enjoyed the 3D visuals more on Avatar 2.

The tribe straight up abandoned their daughter there too, lol. But on another note, I’m glad Jake got to fight his own fight. Stakes got raised after the son’s death, things have been personal with Quaritch…it was time to finish what he started. :wow: Cameron really went all out on that final sequence, sheesh. Top Gun: Maverick’s is probably the only one that rivals it for me. Felt like I was on a visual high the entire time.

Jake is dying in the next one, surely? Third film could turn out to be way better story-wise if they can flesh out the plot points that were teased in this one. Kiri and Lo’ak look like they will be owning things from here on out.

I’m amazed that it took until the last act for something bad to happen to one of the kids considering how often they kept putting themselves in danger. Lo’ak had the whole crew by his side every time Jake asked who was with him. That’s my nikka though. :dead:

Killed me at one point when the family was on the edge of drowning in the ship and Kiri was out there with the googly-eyes playing with the little fishes. :gladbron: :mjlol:
Im hoping we see less of an emphasis on the sky people and maybe see some civil strife on Pandora in the 3rd movie. There are a ton of directions to take the story now, but they can come back to the resolve the war with humanity in 4 & 5. I know James' vision is to continue to highlight more cultures of the Na'vi. Im guessing we see some civil strife between cultures where they end up making peace to face the greater villains (humans). I think they can make a badass adversary out of Na'vi tribe and it would look amazing on screen. Yeah, you have to think Jake doesnt make it all the way to 5, def set his son up for the future. These movies somehow got underrated to me tbh, they are fun and look so good on the big screen

The dive bombs the water navi were doing was ill as s*** in the final battle. You'd think against advanced tech it wouldn't be effective but how they kept submerging and reappearing was dope in a navy setting. 3D with the Dbox seats was on some other s*** :russ:

I see the next movie probably being centered on Weaver's kid on some the chosen one steeze.
