this is really damn good tbh

im on episode 7 and I honestly didnt think Netflix would do something better than One Piece live action :ehh:
This definitely isn’t better than One Piece live action

It’s good but idk… im agreeing with people complaining about the acting. shyt seems really forced sometimes.. mainly Aangs. It’s corny sometimes but for kids so I get it

Its been years since Ive actually seen the original so i dont know.

I knew it was coming...but the way they softened up Sokka and took away his character arc...:unimpressed:

Same thing with taking out that Katara originally stole the waterbending scroll...AND the character building where Aang is more naturally gifted at waterbending than she is and her envy due to that fact, and her having to find her way and grow out of it...

And WHY is Azula...cherubic looking :dahell:
That‘s exactly what I thought about Azula too.


i have no complaints about this. I didn’t expect it to be this good andI’ll probably run it back this weekend

the only actor i felt was a lil out of place was the Azula casting. She grew on me as time went on but she still doesnt feel as evil as Azula in the cartoon

One Piece was dope but had but cringy shyt that i didnt understand why no one had a gripe with (luffy yelling his attacks, luffy's acting, captain Kuro etc.)

Hell, NO ONE even pointed Zoro's sword bending in the jail scene

Finished the first episode. I'd say it's pretty good.

For the most part I like the casting, the kid they got for Aang is great. Iroh definitely seems more serious than the cartoon. Zuko is spot on.


One issue I do kind of have with the dialogue is that a lot of it just feels like the characters standing there and telling us their story. There's nothing wrong with exposition, but at a certain point it becomes hard to buy every character conveniently explaining their backstory and motivations.

Yeah I see what you're saying like in the original, the kids would act like kids as they are talking. Aang would be goofy off and shyt
