The movie is completely trash.
I'm on episode 7 and this isn't great either. Right now it's a 6-6.5. The Fire Nation is carrying it...Ozai, Iroh, Azula, Zhao...Zuko is cool when he plays off Iroh, so his potential is there. Sokka is okay, too.

Anybody saying this is garbage or under 7 out of ten is full of shyt they got A LOT right
oddly enough the weakest parts are the main trio esp the girl playing Katara she is a borderline bad actress
and honestly a miscast it had to be somebody better they could have gotten, 50% of sokkas personality is just gone in this

Exactly, but people legit try to compare on what that movie did better... like nah, nothing about the movie was better. I don't give a fukk Oong's had nice designs. Or the outfits looked more realistic. Because I remember when the first images came out for the movie and people were shytting on it how unfaithful and dull it looks. Now someteen years later it was good. Like fukk outta herewhat movie

I think The Last Airbender is just an IP that was lightning in a bottle. This is almost a 1:1 re-creation, with the designs, dialog, and scenes, but still has parts that feel off.
The final product is a mixed bag. Is it the acting, or even the on-screen chemistry that is bringing it down? I think it's in the Team Avatar trio, because the Fire Nation doesn't have that problem.

It is. Because they tried to cram multiple stories into one episode it forced them to separate the trio.

It's decent. I'll watch another season. Yeah, it has some pacing issues, characters say out loud how they feel and some of the teen acting isn't great but if you say this is terrible you either don't watch much TV or are lying.
Honestly I think the acting is fine for the most part, they did a decent job with what they were given IMO. The issue is they need to tighten up the writing.
There's a rule of writing called "Show, don't tell" that the writers forgot about. Too much of the characters just stating their feelings/backstories/motives instead of the show giving the viewers this info in a more natural way. It doesn't ruin the show but if there's another season hopefully they improve on that.

This got better as it to the finale. The music in the beginning few episodes is legitimately bad. They did a good job of fast condensing the plot.
Kat's actress was the most annoying but I didn't start liking her character until the middle of season 2. Sokka isn't as annoying than I thought he'd be. I like Aang but I think Zuko's actor did the best at selling his story. Grandma with the fake teeth was scary. Needs more Azula.

Im only on episode 2 but this isn’t as bad as I thought it would be
