it's not for all student debt. the max cancellation for this issue is 20k... a lot of people involved still owe more than that, some people up to 100ks. this point that people will still be paying loans makes a lot of naysayers issues moot tbh
The common man didn't go to college. I'm a grad but there are real blinders on people who are incredulous at why this isn't a slam dunk.
I support SL forgiveness, but there is so much focus on debt elimination that people don't realize that kids are signing up for loans next week

It's been more than three years since people have had to pay on their loans. This wasn't going to last forever. 
The only solution I see that could be somewhat "fair" is if loans can be discharged in bankruptcy.
