Audiences seem to love Netflix's new movie "Bright" as much as critics hate it

There isn't more of a divide, it's just that for whatever reason people are just paying more attention to the scores now.

Critics actually did shyt on Coming to America when it first came out. The studio actually promoted it less because the early reviews were so bad.

Harlem Nights got really bad reviews too.

Some not all. And I get why Harlem nights got the reviews it got. I fukk with it less as the years go by. Everyone is on fire but Eddie can’t tell a story to save his life. Doesn’t matter tho cause the best parts of it are still fuego

But also to your point, they shytted on animal house and caddyshack when they first dropped. Some comedy ages better than others and now all three of those movies are looked at as they should be

There seems to be more critical and audience disagreement than ever on RT these days. Either it gets good critical reviews and poor audience scores (Star Trek Discovery, Star Wars The Last Jedi), or terrible critical reviews and high audience scores (The Orville, Bright).

I tend to agree more with the audience scores. I haven't seen Bright, but I adored The Orville and thought both Discovery and The Last Jedi were huge disappointments.
Never liked Rotten Tomatoes because it all comes down to a single score. Yeah it got the reviews posted but what the majority sees and talks about is the score.

Cause people like simplicity. Nuance and actually reading shyt doesn’t work well with us. Especially on the internet. The problem isn’t with the system as much as it’s with the public and how they consume it.

How are they gonna say it looks like an expensive flop due to it's critical rating, when Netflix don't release their subscription numbers or viewing figures for individual shows and movies, which is what actually matters:what:

yep the only way oyu know something is succesful on netflix is if it has other seasons.

Fuller house is already on season 3 and has 44 episodes and it just came out feb 2016

basically this ..

studios know this shyt gonna fucc up the feng shui thats why if you can't tell this hard on negative is clearly the studios tryna ward away from streaming sites successfully rolling out blockbusters.

cause i never see critics go hard on tom cruise or the rocks flops tho :mjpls:

Netflix is the way forward..

Hopefully RT gets shut down in 2018, fucc that biased crack site

TYRONE GA!
I finally got around to watching this w/ the wife last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the sequel. It's pretty obvious that the critic reviews were politically motivated. It was nowhere near the debacle they claimed it was, and its interesting as to what motivated them as a collective unit to target this film. The damning reviews they attempted to push out of the gate were absolutely calculated.
A lot of movies/games/shows are like that now where the "reviewers" who get special access to shyt will not shyt on those but will be "honest" towards others. It's all bullshyt.
