Audiences seem to love Netflix's new movie "Bright" as much as critics hate it

For all the "fukk Critics, nobody cares what they think" talk, there sure do seem to be a bunch of people that obsess over what critics think about movies.

You either care or you don't care, but a lot people are talking out of both sides of they mouth when it comes to this shyt.

The obsession with (and lack of understanding of) Rotton tomatoes scores is particularly annoying.

Same goes for the conspiracy theories about critics being paid off. That shyt makes no fukking sense if you bother to put even an ounce of reasonable thought into it.

There seems to be more critical and audience disagreement than ever on RT these days. Either it gets good critical reviews and poor audience scores (Star Trek Discovery, Star Wars The Last Jedi), or terrible critical reviews and high audience scores (The Orville, Bright).

I tend to agree more with the audience scores. I haven't seen Bright, but I adored The Orville and thought both Discovery and The Last Jedi were huge disappointments.

It's so blatant when somethin new threatens the comfy establishment. They just scared.

It's like investors about crypto currencies.

They been shyttin on it for the last 2 years warning people every other day and in that time millionaires and billionaires were created. As if saying any massively expanding industry won't have a bubble pop and a correction. DUHH. The internet did too, internet seems pretty successful today.

I had a deposit ready for Netflix stock a year ago and I chickened out. Woulda been up like double right now too.

I don't even watch cable TV no more, I bet most people my age barely do too. 20 years Netflix will probably be like Viacom or something.

Movie critics have bashed some of our favorite movies. Also some of the movies critics love a lot of us think suck.

shyt majority of all black movies critics have always shytted on from Friday to Black Dynamite..... but them movies always turned out from great to pretty good.

There needs to be more diversity in cuz some just dont like what a lot of the real world people like.

I see talks about the new M. Streep/T. Hanks movie "being the best movie of the year" and that shyt looks trash and I have absolutely no interest or want to see that film.

Thats why I tend to ignore critics and dont really judge them and like to see shyt for myself. I dont know why every movie more cats cant do the same

:wow: I feel like this everyday in here:russ: I just don't understand why people are so obsessed with the opinions of other people. Either you like the movie or don't. If someone who watches movies for a living dislikes something you love, or vice versa, so the fukk what. Grow up, move on. That's life. But the amount of disdain critics get on this site juxtaposed with the amount of attention they get is mind boggling.

Whole lot of Reed Richards action

Black Dynamite got shytted on? Most aggregates got that shyt ranked pretty highly breh. Same with Friday. And Coming to America. And Do the Right Thing. And Malcom X. Not saying its always like that but a lot of the movies we rank high in our own community are also ranked highly in the film community

There isn't more of a divide, it's just that for whatever reason people are just paying more attention to the scores now.

Critics actually did shyt on Coming to America when it first came out. The studio actually promoted it less because the early reviews were so bad.

Harlem Nights got really bad reviews too.
