TO THOSE BEING OBTUSE:

THE POLICE NEVER OBSERVED RAYSHARD BROOKS OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.
THEY DID NOT PULL HIM OVER OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE.
THEY APPROACHED A SLEEPING MAN IN HIS PARKED VEHICLE ON A PRIVATE PARKING LOT AND ATTEMPTED TO UNLAWFULLY ARREST HIM.
IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA, BY LAW YOU CAN RESIST AN UNLAWFUL ARREST WITH FORCE.

For all of you who love case files: Ewumi v. State, 315 Ga. App. 656 (2012).
In 2012 The State of Georgia ruled that during an unlawful arrest, a man “was justified in resisting the attempted arrest with all force that was reasonably necessary to do so.”

The cop was immediately fired and the APD Chief resigned because they are legally and morally have no ground to stand on. The officer killed a man during an unlawful arrest.

drunk tank

You continually bringing up a "drunk tank." A white man's "drunk tank" arrest and trip through the system can mean death for a black person.
Ever heard of Sandra Bland, Eric Gardner or Freddie Gray Jr.?

When the police approached Rayshard's car he was unarmed and asleep. He took the weapon of a predatory stranger, who was possibly attempting to kidnap and murder him.

Between your post here and your post in the Covid-19 threads I've noticed that You seem to lack empathy for certain people.

Them white boys get pulled over in Virginia Highlands and are allowed to park up and catch an Uber home. Bro was parked up walking distance from the crib and they was trying to send him through the system during a fukking pandemic. It's a clear double standard and the whole city knows that it is.

The police showed up after this man already made a decision not to drive drunk, and attempted to arrest him for a "crime" that he himself already thwarted.

when they arrived he was off public roads and his car he legally parked his car in the parking lot.
There was no longer a problem, so At that point why was the cops involvement still needed?

What the police observed was his man sleeping in his parked car, on a private parking lot with his engine running to keep the AC flowing on an 85 degree night.

He was killed during an illegal DUI arrest. The officer that killed him needs to be charged.

Apparently if you're behind the wheel at any point subject to the officer they can arrest you even if its not in operation if you're suspected of DUI

I've seen them even do that shyt to white women on LivePD.

I don't know GA's laws on this.

Man who give a fukk what a cac think? Right is right and wrong is wrong. :rudy: If somebody punch me and I kill them for it, I'm going to prison. shyt was wrong and deadly force was not lawful.

George Floyd touched a nerve the world has never seen before. Focusing on this incident is only going to dampen the movement.

Maybe. And in a perfect world, he'd be given a ride home.

But he resisted arrest.

8 years of watching black people die at the hands of police for the most trivial of reasons. You don't think this guy thought his life was in imminent danger. Especially seeing as he was inebriated. If a cop has the right to shoot you if he's in fear of life, then why wouldn't a civilian feel the same way? In this climate, recent climate, given that situation, why wouldn't he, while inebriated, fight for his life and try to flee?

People in this thread are very comfortably falling back and justifying the status quo. All while giving cops all manner of leeway to murder with impunity.

It's disgusting really.
Did your parents tell you to fight when a cop is trying to put handcuffs on you?

fukk that. You ever watch cops or LIVE PD? They know how to handle white suspects that resist, curse them out, call them all sorts of names but black subjects they shoot to kill? fukk them. I heard they burned the station down. Good for them!!

Parked Car DUI is a thing. you don't have to be actually driving the vehicle.

You're wrong about this.

He wasn't shot until the foot chase. Tasers were used up to that point.

Multiple videos show this.

Why are you spamming a blatantly incorrect narrative?
Nope. You can hear the 3x "pops" at 0:18

Tasers only fire once and they don't make that sound.

He got shot at (possibly hit) before he ran away then the cop chased.

I don't understand why he was arrested if he wasn't driving the vehicle. Just call him an uber home and then send him a summons for court in the mail.

He admitted he drove the car to the wendys and fell asleep in the drive through line. He pulled his car into the parking space after he was woken up.
