I have better morals than most people. I don't need God to know right from wrong. Whats scary about religious people is they think morals come from God. So if there is no God there are no morals? Killing an innocent man is wrong, rape is wrong, and if you need a god to tell you that you're only being obedient, not good, and you can snap any second. The more religious a person is the more dangerous they are. An atheist world would be a very peaceful one.

Religious people don't need god to tell then rape and murder is wrong. Religiousness doesn't = moral. Look at African Bishops with millions and private jets while children stave and catch Malaria.

We get our morals from our society and environment. There is no legitimate reason why an atheist should act less moral than a religious person.

However, we shouldn't ignore the fact that those morals and values that more people call 'ethical'..... were shaped and defined by a religious world -- A would that we've allowed to remain religious for 100's of thousands of years because our society has decided it's the best way to keep shyt in order and ethical.

Objective morality is IRRELEVANT. All that matters is people follow rules that are necessary to having a productive society.

Plus almost anything that is considered immoral today could not be considered immoral in the future. For example, if in the future we have technology that allows people to back up their minds on the internet, making it so that you can effective immortal and can't be killed, then can murder be considered immoral anymore?

There is not such thing as objective morality. All there is are rules we've created so that we can continue to exist in productive and secure societies.

A lot of Atheist do not understand how much they lack common sense.

Sure I can. It's just as wrong to light a baby kitten on fire as it is to light an infant on fire. It may not have the same cultural impact because we tend to place human life above animal life, but the magnitude of "wrongness" is no less severe.

I was waiting on this...for one of you atheist to equate human life to that of an animal....but with your logic it shouldn't stop there. Some of the most illogical crap that's going on with this world.

just as its ok for gays to be with each other, what stops incest then, what stops pedos, what stops people from being with beast. These are the rules you go by so.

since you believe wrong...is wrong & a Baby being killed is just as wrong as a kitten. Thus a Bug being killed is just as wrong as a kitten being killed & a kitten the same as a baby.

As you said, the only reason its given importance over the other is because of cultural impact. You guys are doing a great job changing that though. Hence the rise of groups like PETA Mike Vick send help.
