This board gets off on saying, even within this thread, that if you didn't see Mike play you can't have an opinion on this. This ignores two things:

1, there are posters here who didn't see Bulls Mike play who favor Mike. I'm 34, there's literally guys here my age who favor Mike over Bron, none of us were old enough to contextualize anything about Bulls Mike if we saw him play at all;

And 2, while in the minority, there are real people who exist who saw Mike's entire career who favor LeBron. I've told this board that while I was in prison in the 00s I remember old heads saying Mike wasn't the greatest player ever, and I've also told this board that my dad, who is now 58, who saw Mike in person when Arkansas beat UNC in '84 and followed his entire career, also doesn't believe Mike to be better than Bron...

The nikkas on some "if you didn't see him play, don't talk" gotta chill 🤣
You started watching ball late. I'm 38 and remember 4 of mjs titles vividly and I know I was watching for the first 2 since I have photo proof

Team defense aka let the team play defense while Lebron points and rest. Go back to your spreadsheets with cherry picked numbers, I don’t think this style works for you.

Tonight was a great example of how ignorant people like you are.

The #30 ranked offense in the NBA just scored 45 in the 4th against the Lakers defense. They were a missed Wembanyama free throw away from going to overtime (or worse). Without Bron out there, the Lakers defense is food. With Bron out there, they're one of the best in the league. And you think he's not a difference maker on that end?

AD was out there while the Spurs scored 45 in the 4th quarter tonight, breh. :skip:

AD is an incredible defender, but this thread isn't about AD, it's about the impact that Bron has whether AD is there or not. When Bron is on the court, the Lakers are one of the best in the NBA, largely because of their defense. When Bron is on the bench, they can't even stop the fukking Spurs.

Everyone who actually follows the Lakers knows this. When the season was on the line last year, it was Bron playing all 48 minutes while AD was taking breaks, even though Bron is 10 years older than AD. Why do you think that is? Bron is the one who holds the team together on both ends, not AD.

Bron: +20 on/off this year
AD: +8 on/off this year

best basketball career? sure, but even then he has a lot of competition there

best to ever pick up a ball?? there's just no way to prove that even if we go by his playing career, let alone his actual skill as an individual, i think he unquestionably is a top 5 career and top 10 talent but thats just my opinion, it's very easy to deny your statement OP
I see it as the opposite.

Bron is the best to touch the ball but he didn't necessarily have the best career.

I don’t even think you believe that Lebron is a better defender than AD and if you do then stop hallucinating and get back to reality.

I didn't say Bron was a better defender than AD. :dahell:

What I said is that Bron is a great TEAM defender, and the TEAM needs him there for the defense to run smoothly. That's proven by the way they hold together when Bron is out there, and fall apart when he's not, whether or not AD is out there.

Do you know what New Orleans's defensive rating was during AD's seven years there?

28th
22nd
22nd
27th
9th
14th
23rd

And it wasn't like he was alone, he had Jrue Holiday who is an elite defender too. Yet they still weren't very good defensively as a team.

Hmmm, maybe he was just young then. So what was Cleveland's defensive rating during Bron's first seven years?

19th
12th
14th
4th
11th
3rd
7th

And who did Bron have? His guards were midgets, Z was a statue, Gooden was mid. Defensively he had Varejao off the bench and....? Yet with coaching and Bron, the Cavs were an elite defensive team in his last 4 years in a way AD's teams never were. Then Bron went to the Heat, and the Heat immediately became a top-5 defensive squad. Hmmm....

Claiming that the Lakers' defense is just due to AD is ignorant. Bron had led top-5 defenses at every franchise he's played for. AD's teams were never good defensively until he joined forces with Bron. Being an elite individual defender is one thing, but you need someone who can orchestrate the team defensively to make it work.

LeRoid rage and and the kobra klutch network of shills will be exposed once he retires and he won't even have to worry about trying to intimindate journalists for having the audacity to call him second best.
