At their peak, who was more popular: Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, John Cena, or Cristiano Ronaldo?

Who’s the most famous?

John Cena doesn't belong in that list

And yall sleeping on Jordan. The entire world knows what being the "Michael Jordan" of something means. Nobody says this type of shyt for Ronaldo because folks would be confused.

You say that shyt and half the people who know him would go, "Don't you mean the Messi? :birdman:"

I'd keep MJ over CR7, only because he did it without social media. Up until social media exploded... I can be wrong, I probably am. But their hasn't been a player as popular as CR7 and Messi that was a household name, like how Jordan was.

Maybe David Beckham?
Social media isn't the reason for them being as popular as they are.

Football is the biggest sport on earth social media or not.

Poll should've been between Jordan, Jackson, and Tyson

I’d flip Jordan and CR7
Maybe.

I think of it this way. A much larger percentage of the world loves soccer, yet MJ was so iconic that even people that barely understood hoops knew who Jordan was.

CR7/Messi are iconic in large part because they are the most well known players in the most popular sport. The love they get comes because there are so many soccer fans, not because they're just "THAT DUDE."

Was he big world wide or only in the soccer world? I have a feeling white people living in Montreal didn't care about some black Brazilian soccer player in the 60s.

I could be wrong.

But Montreal isn't the world, so if hes big in Africa Asia Europe South America Australisia thats more relevant than white people living in Montreal.
