Because they aren't, they're trend chasing, numbers-based games. Even Origins isn't much of an Assassin's Creed game, but we're going to give it a pass for being in Africa. Unity might have launched on a terrible state, but it felt solidly like AC (at least to me). They just need to get rid of the collect-a-thon shyt, double down on stealth assassinations, with combat being a fun challenge as a last resort.Honestly this series fell off big after Black Flags if we want to keep it 100%. The newer ones after Origins don’t even feel like AC titles at all.

I didnt buy the last one I get the complaints but they said this one will be true to the past games without that greek god, etc bs. The original, stealth focused I enjoyNikkas like u keeping this series in business... enough...
Feel like they made this exact statement before Valhalla after people complained about Odyssey being 40 hours too long and ended up making a longer game. Sad thing is, I think Ubisoft can create really wonderful looking worlds in all of their games. It's just how you interact with the world from a boring narrative, to dull gameplay, to an unnecessary amount collectables is just a miserable slog that makes me always wanna drop the game about 10 hours in.I will since they promised this is a much smaller game, and location is interesting.
