Elaborate. The suggestion that eating a box of donuts one day out of a 30 day month where you usually eat healthy, AND STILL DOING CARDIO AFTER THE DONUTS lol, means you'll lose your abs sounds absolutely ludicrous to me.

Are we talking about a HUGE MEAL with nothing but junk? Like 6 donuts, a big bag of doritos, a slice of cheesecake and 2 milkshakes? Lol.

When he says look, I was think he meant being bloated from a carby meal or lots of fluid. Not totally wreck with added fat of the abs.

How long does it take to lose the water weight one or two bad meals? A day or two? A week?

The reason I ask these things is because I've literally not had a cheat meal since May because I want to get the body I desire badly, but I always figured once the fat was gone and the muscles were on point I'd be able to at least enjoy one cheat day every other week without much worry - especially since I'd probably bike for 2 hours minimum on those cheat days.

From my experience a lot of it is your own personal body make-up in combination with what you eat. Carbs blow me the fack up if I go overboard.

The rule I try to live buy is based on Marc Lobliner "rule". One planned meal per week (no buffet) with a good appetizer, entree and dessert. Of course that applies to going out to eat, adjust accordingly to being at home. Point being that one good meal isn't going to hurt. A day of two of extra water if you usually are fairly low carb and you are back. I don't even think doing extra cardo is worth it. All day and prolonged meals :whoa:

Hold up nikka. I don't mean to interrupt your shyt here, and I ain't read what came before, but is this your bfast? Biggest meal of the day? At that weight???

You'll literally be flabby and sick dieting like that bruh. flabby when you're emaciated and all you got is some loose skin hanging down your gut and sick 'cause you ain't feeding yourself.

and don't even tell me you're tryin to gain muscle out here...

@Kasino416

I've been on that oatmeal tip for a minute but I usually have it as follows:

1 cup oatmeal
1.5 cup 1% milk
1 spoon almond butter
Dash of cinnamon
1 banana
1/3 scoop of whey
1 tablespoon of honey

I know you might think that's a lot of sugar but keep in mind:

1. I work out first thing in the morning so I have this after a workout
2. Only other sugar I have in a day is an apple in the afternoon
3. My breakfasts are my heaviest meals
4. I'm 6"7, 245 lbs

In light of this , do you feel my oatmeal is too much?

Well it's not one cup , more like 2...maybe 700-800 calories total

I know I'm not eating enough even though I do eat healthy

It's just reallllly really hard to get 3000 plus calories a day from clean healthy sources

800 calories ain't bad, but for the biggest meal of the day, you're doing your workouts a disservice at that point. I feel you on the level of just having to get that much food down. I'm not sure what healthy sources you're dealing with, but if worst comes to worst -- eat what you know is healthy, but more of it. Lots more.

And if your diet restricts moderate-to-heavy amounts of meat . . . :sadcam:

I guess a few egg whites on the side would be good

I do eat meat but its expensive as fuk to eat 3000 calories a day...only so much tuna I can have in a week...

I avoid rice and pasta which is cheap filler food...

Breakfast doesn't need to be your biggest meal of the day, don't know why you keep saying that.

Nah I could give a shyt when he eats. Doesn't matter one bit. But for his size, if that's the biggest meal of HIS day, then it sounds like he's under-eating. Unless he's on some sort of serious cut, which wasn't the sense I was getting...

i wouldnt quite look at it like that.

carbs are necessary to bulk efficiently, im realizing that now more than ever. Ive been taking in almost 3500 cals with little to no fat gains

your minimum on protein should be probably your bodyweight in protein(ie 170lb = 170g)

I'm not tryin to bulk. I'm trying to eat clean and cut. That's why I keep myself to 6 meals, 2500-2800 calories a day (500 deficit from the optinm 3000-3200 calories I should be taking)

Breakfast is my biggest meal of the day, I keep it light and often the rest of the day

I'm 6'0 and weigh 165 lb which is a bit underweight for my height I believe. I have 12% body fat.

I want to get bigger and add more muscle cuz most people say I look skinny and like I said 165 lb could be considered underweight for my size but at the same time I definitely need to lower my body fat percentage because 12%% is too high and I have a bit of a gut and I can't see my abs at all.

What do you think I should do?

My overall goal is to have a physique similar to this:

I think ideal weight for you would be 180 @ 8-10%, you'd look shredded as hell. Just keep lifting heavy but eat on an overage to steadily gain 1-2lbs pr week. Id lay off the cardio as well and just focus on eating and lifting heavy. Based on you stats, you seem to already have a good physique. Anyone in the 10-12% range over 170 would look like they "lift". Good job.
