Salute. Been trying to get a feel for the afterwork/nightlife scene with minimal success. What are the to-go spots?
CPT: Long/Kloof Street, a few spots in Newlands and Claremont, anywhere on the waterfront (Shimmy Beach club w/o a doubt)

Joburg: Vilakazi St. in Soweto, Zone 6 in Soweto, Rosebank at the Zone, Harem or Taboo in Sandton, Braam (Kitcheners, The Beach, Neighbourgoods Market on Saturday's, Randlords (cool but overrated but the women are top notch), Churchills or JBs in Melrose, Fourways Market near Montecasino on Sundays, Bassline in Newtown, 1 Foxx Sheds on Saturday, and anywhere in Maboneng on Sundays (mad hoes everywhere)

May for 14 days capetown breh.
Ewww, fall but it shouldn't be bad weather wise. CPT weather is always on some other shyt. Has a San Fran type weather so bring a lite jacket. I'm coming back in November maybe but that depends on if my girl gets this gig in NYC after chef school

Edit: oh yea, May is around the time they have ComicCon over here so the whore nerds will be dressed like superhero whores that entire weekend. Talmbout dominatrix type outfits

Oh yea, cash. Not needed. Just don't let anyone walk off with your debit card or try to help you at an ATM. My brothers came in May and easily ran thru $3k but they were taking chicks out left and right for all three squares and late night things. You can survive off that for two weeks. There's been times I've spent maybe $250 on meals for 10 days. And that's eating out twice a day. Exchange rate is predicted to still hover around R14-R15/$1USD

Is it where the flight is really expensive but once u get over there it's real cheap...or is it close to typical American prices?

Depends on where you're flyin out of. If you're in Dallas, you can usually catch a flight connecting you thru Doha for no more than $900. Delta has the nonstop SIXTEEN AND A HALF HR flight but you're going to pay almost $1300 for that joint. SA Air has the nonstops to DC and NYC but no idea on the cost of those. Trust, get something with a layover. That delta flight ain't no joke. I've taken that hoe bout 5x already. Buy a ticket to go to spots in country on Mango/SAA/ or SA Airways (like southwest, but that safety record is :lupe:). My brothers had the joint from Indy to here with a layover in Addis Ababa.
