While I agree with you that FG doesn't not belong in the top 10 but lets not lie here. FG was heavy fav. to win since it got 13 noms, did well at other awards shows and was #2 at the box office

Everyone knows that Quiz Show was the best picture that year anyway

I like Quiz Show more than Forrest Gump and its theme still resonate today...but Pulp Fiction is a materpiece, breh

The English Patient beating out Fargo is a far more egregious slight.

Psycho wasn't even nominated.

And of course, Citizen Kane lost to a movie I don't think anyone has ever actually seen.

I don't know man, the stuff I read over the years alluded to the Forrest Gump upset more than the English patient upset, but I agree that English patient winning was also a travesty...people tend to attack Forrest Gump more than English patient...

And let's not forget that Crash won best Picture too
