I couldn't even tell you who said that line. That song pretty much stops after Biggie's verse. Like, literally people stop it. Often.

Thats what im saying, you skimming through my g, take some time out to listen and forget about what other nikkas are saying or doing.

This post is why you can't talk music with a jock. He likes the "smoother" harmonies. He's an easy listening type. What would we do without Nelly, T Pain & Future!!???? Egad!

BIG had the best verse on Notorious Thugs. FACT. FACT TO END ALL FACTS IN FACT.

Thug Love isn't even that good a song.

Gza is wack. You nailed it.

What the fucc does bein a jock or not bein a jock have anything to do with anything? :mindblown: just because I don't agree with what u like, u resort to childish namecalling? :mindblown: Big Got bodied on notorius thugs.

Buy the coke, cook the coke, cut it.

I wonder who A-Rod likes better. The Beatles or Sade.

Also, one chink smiley would have sufficed.

NY bias has written Bone out of hip hop history. I remember some show on MTV stating the highest selling rap acts, and Bone was no where on there, yet they had a Missy and Ja Rule with album sells (at the time) of 3-4 million. And this was after 2000.

It's funny because mad rappers (not including Twista of course) started attempting the fast flow around 1998-99.

Saying its NY bias is really simplifying a complicated issue. At the end of the day that sing song rapid fire delivery was very unconventional at the time and made it difficult to understand what they were saying. The same thing then that made them sell is what put them in their own category and leaves them largely ignored when it comes to their legacy.

That's because it's not. It's fall prey to the curse of every rap double album: too much filler.

But there's no doubt that if you take the best 12-13 tracks from Forever, it's just as good as 36 Chambers.

The five best songs on Forever aren't considered classics like the five best on 36. Quality wise you're right but 36 will always be more fondly remembered.

I'm from NY....they didn't show Bone ANY love aside from Crossroads. But I got into Bone and seen they were popular because of The Box...all their videos from their first 2 albums would constantly get requested on that channel, but I really never heard them being played on the radio.

Where I kinda think their label messed up at was with the videos/single editing. The edits would sound straight terrible which made it a little more confusing to understand what they were saying if you didn't have their albums.

I think their PR that Ruthless had for them was pretty bad too.

Wu Tang's skits are better than Bone's songs. More legendary too.

But seriously, anyone know what 'look into my eyes' is?

All day like Harry Belafonte.
