What's 'look into my eyes'?

"Look into My Eyes" is the first single by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony from the album The Art of War. Released as a single in 1997, it reached number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It is also included on the soundtrack to the film Batman & Robin. A music video was released for the single but Bizzy Bone did not appear"

The platinum single:youngsabo: ranked pretty high on the damn charts, classic song off the Art Of War...wuz u locked up or just in NY at the time:heh:

The World, but from BK
Creepin on ah.../E.1999 Eternal and 36 chambers are my favorite rap group albums ever. Buuuut I have to go with Wu as far as their legend being bigger than Bone's. I have a Wu-Tang shirt that I've wore damn near everywhere I went out of state and country. And eve eery time some random person would come up to me and dap cause of the shirt and start busting a Wu-tang verse...this happened to me in Cali, Montreal, Toronto and Puerto Rico...In PR dudes I was just walking and some dudes stopped in the middle of traffic while driving, rolled down the window and started yelling "Wu-Tang!" lol

:mindblown::why::what::shaq2:

This can't be a real Convo.....

But Just in Case.....The first Batch of Wu-Solo Albums Released Between 36 and Forever (....I shouldn't have to name them) sh*t all over anything Bone ever did. The only Bone album that even stands a chance against any wu album is E 1999 which is a classic IMO.

yall see what im saying now?

the lines are blurred.

RZA is one of the most famous and highly regarded and imitated producers of all time. Meanwhile the average person has no clue who produced those Bone hits. But Wu had no impact...

Anybody used to post on the source boards remember dude named DOD Killa?

rza was also a rapper and the spokesman/leader of the group.

u-neek was just a producer. a dude that liked to play the background low-key and didnt have the benefit of being from the media capital.

It's funny the threadstarter thought he could rack up his stats by making this thread that went platinum on sohh years ago. Thing is, that was years ago. Back then there probably...PROBABLY... was still some type of debate. Even though, back then, it still was clear Wu had the bigger and better impact on the game, but it wouldn't be jaw droppingly stupid to debate the two groups. Now, in 2013, it's just stupid to even try to compare Bone with Wu. Wu already cemented themselves as hip hop and global icons and have some type of relevancy, and Bone are almost nowhere to be found. No big time guest appearances. No albums. None of the members are making waves with business ventures. And the threadstarter should've realized this. His attempt at getting a diamond thread is gonna be futile cause too many people know the truth, Bone fan or not.

this makes absolutely no sense.

if this was comparable years ago, then its still comparable now.....unless you practice revisionist history.

its not like wutang has done anything to improve their ranking in the past 12 years. meanwhile, bone actually did further their legacy in this timeframe. the past 6 years even.

so if this argument shifts anywhere over the course of time, logically it should shift in favor of bone thugs. not wutang.

Look up, Flaco.

Wu have 7 legit rap hits as a group. The kinda rap hits that people know the words to and still ring out present day.

bone thugs has more than 7 legit rap hits.

btw, only on the internet are songs like "shadow boxing" mentioned in the same breath as "1st of the month".

Because they're schticky. Fast rappin is fast rappin is fast rappin.

I don't be wantin' fast rappin too much anymore.

this goes to show that you havnt listened to any of their music in the past 16 years.

:rudy: I'm 29 and from NY. You don't know what the fukk you are talking about. Stick to the Jay-Z stannery, breh

hes speaking on his peers. not yours.

lol @ you being 29 years old.

double lol @ you hanging around 20 years olds half the time. not surprised at that one.

How did I think I was gonna rack up stats..I say whatever's on my mind and I don't care if someone made this post years ago on sohh...I've never been on sohh and I don't even really know what that is..I wasn't trying to have hella replies about the same old shyt..

The fact is bone are superior rappers..double time rhyming is the hardest skill and they mastered that, along with singing..not too many rappers can rap like that..only the elite..

I win

you can tell alot of these dudes didnt get into rap like that until the 2000s.

in the mid-'90s, the most generic arguments were pac vs big, death row vs bad boy, east vs west, and for groups it was bone thugs vs wutang.

whether someone thinks bone is better or wu is better is one thing. but people in here brushing this off as a troll thread are clearly living under a rock.

I love how the OP immediately disqualified Wu's solo albums, knowing full well if you include them there's no logical argument that Bone had more of an impact than the Wu.

you cant disqualify something that never qualified to begin with.

rapping? better than Ghost? fukk No. better than Lay from 94-2000 no, better than Bizzy No, better than Gza No. better than Rae hell NO. ans krayzie style carries him enough to not give a fukk about rapping.

Lyrically he better than all them nikkas and more technically skilled at fast rappin than Bizzy as he has more clarity but lyrically him and Bizzy id say is close to call...only Bizzy and Meth I'm willing to think differently on bcuz its so close my mind could change between the 3 pretty easily....but the rest?no,overall I'm goin with twista....in they primes they wuz both 3 of my favorites but Twista wuz just:blessed: the boy wuz deadly...I don't know how u writin twista off against these nikkas like he a bum...don't get me wrong I'm last to say technical ability trumps all but Twsistas no slouch in any department...but a hell no to Rae and a fuk no and a no to Gza and no mention of Meth? U obviously see sumthin in them as rappers I never found impressive...ghostface alright with me but I'm not wowed by what he's saying or wowed on a technical level by him, give me one or the other or both.:manny:

The Source used to be a respectable magazine back in 1994/1995 wonder what their take on it was? How many mics did the Bone albums get?
