Bone is cool and all. Wacky loves them. that's fine. but that shyt is schtick rap. at the end of the day are they even better than Twista?

also. new york isn damn sure more important than other areas. i look at importance of regions the same way delegates are broken down in elections. we got more delegates.

I agree Wutang wuz popular mayor Kwame Kilpatrick status:pachaha:,meanwhile Bone wuz presidental:obama:....Californias delegates at the time outranked NY's delecates and Cali wuz ridin with bone, just like now the southern states deligates outrank NY and Cali and so forth...and better than Twista at what?catalogue wise its not even close they better...far as rapping Twista is better than anybody in either group so that's irrelevant.

delegates are delegates. ain't no "at the time". Cali isn't all Compton. Wu-Tang has firm Cali roots planted deep in that turf.

Twista isn't seeing no damn Wu-Tang on his best day. You just killed yourself with that. porky pig ass raps only dazzle the dumb.

Corny. Soft, you can do better than that. I'm starting to think you should just stick to Young Jeezy threads. We waiting on all these Bone classics/hits that you promised you were gonna list. I'm putting together my Wu Group joints right now breh.

Classic Niccas
its a draw b, im a bone fan but they equal in terms of popularity and influence. Wu has the hood over bone thugs tho atleast here in nyc.

but your right in terms of AOW and WU Forever AOW was much better and much more cohesive and theme driven. Wu had bigger egos than bone at that time.

Wu solos crushes bone solos.

bone takes the hood argument too outside of nyc/philly/jersey/etc.

i'll even play nice and just give wutang the whole east coast just off gp. its still a loss.

Can we all agree that Bone doesn't have an album that is universally heralded as a classic? In the way that 36, OBFCL and Liquid Swords are? Not saying whether any of the Bone albums are classics or not and not arguing whether it is fair or right for none of the albums to be deemed classic. Those are separate issues. But can we all agree that when classic hip hop albums are discussed and debated - Bone isn't brought up? Same thing with legendary rappers. When people bring up the Bigs, Pacs, Scarfaces, etc., nobody brings up anyone from Bone?

All these Bone threads have got me thinking about Bone's legacy and how weak it is given how huge they were in the 90s and that they have at least three certified classic singles.

are you serious?

:ban:

i don't understand why people think Wu was only liked in NYC :what: they have a huge fanbase all over the world. Bone has sold more albums but only because Wu never had a breakout song like The Crossroads. Forever AND Art Of War were both certified 4x plat, i think 36 Chambers was triple.

im not the type to get into sales debates but 36 chambers is nowhere near triple.

theyre lucky if it even went platinum. i remember it went aluminum up until they dropped cream as the 4th video, and you can thank SWV for looking out for them.

^^^^Bone can't get arrested right now.

:stop:

you mean the same group whos least known member has been arrested repeatedly in recent years, just off the strength of his name?

Sittin' On Chrome > E. 1999

Grand Puba 'I Like It' > 'First Of Tha Month'

east coast elitism.

at its finest.

lies. is this that failed swizz beats comeback album? cute. bahahahahahaha.

Cuban linx 2, Fishscale, Rza making a movie, Budden's eye getting punched > the Phil Collins Bone song.

failed swizz beats comeback?:usure:

you mean "strength n loyalty"? the same album that won them an AMA in '08?
strength n loyalty = gold and one of the top sellers of '07.
i tried = one of the bigger rap songs when it was out.
i tried....the move = PLATINUM

this is a failure to you?:stop:

meanwhile, cuban linx 2 & fishcale were non-existent albums in the outside world.

what rza movie? never heard of it and dont care. we're talking hip-hop. group work at that.

so the highlight of wutang's existence in the past decade is one of raekwon's ice-water boys punching joe budden? well isnt that just spiffy.:skip:

Dog, u gotta understand. I listened to that entire Brooklyn zoo album. I tried to get into ODB's music. But dude was just wack to me. Just because he's "original" it doesn't make him dope. A lot of east coast nyggaz hate E40, he's "original" and diferent and many people shyt on him too. I listened to damn near all of the Wu's entire catalogue. I gave all those albums a chance. I'm a real hip hop head. But only nyggaz I fucced with in the wu is, rae, Meth, Ghost, and the production from RZA. I don't really like GZA either, although I can appreciate the liquid swords album for what it was worth:ld:

yea.

i mean, i disagree about ol d b being wack. he was dope at what he did. but to keep it really-real, he benefited from new york priveledge. if he was from say california, he would be brushed off as wack.

and yes, e-40 >>>> ol d b.
word to @StillNotSoft.

love it. can give it to you word for word except the wack songs.

I can give you the infamous straight through with more convixtion.

infamous is a better album than me against the world.

a lotta tough, dope rappers said 'fukk it' after the Nas/Prodigy wave

i saw it.

we're saying that prodigy is better than pac now?

e.99 eternal >>>> 7 day theory >>> OB4CL >>>> infamous >>>> 36 chambers

the p-e double push a lex bubble in gthe winter---you can't come along only the hoes can enter.

Prodigy is so much better than Pac at the raps. his best shyt eviscerates Pac's. dunce cap in the corner status.

NYC Elitism > Ratchety nonsense.

:ahh: The ultimate stan war :deadcena:

Nah. The ultimate stan war is Nas vs. Jay. This ain't even a war because Bone stans/Wu haters have no legs to stand on if they're gonna use Bones impact on the game, as opposed to Wu, as the foundation of their argument. If so, they loss off the bat. If this thread was called "As a group Bone Thugs made more catchy songs and sold more records than Wu" than yea this thread could've been more than what it is now...a troll thread made to bash WuTang, filed with untruths and inaccuracies.

I guess it just comes down to personal preference. But I simply likke Bones Music as a whole better than Wu tang. I respect the Wu's contribution to hip hop. Those dudes ae legendary ( a few wack dudes in the group0 but they left a stamp on hip hop. But back in the day, I just supported BTNH a lot more. I have every BTNH release as well as most solo albums. The music is smoother, sometimes more laid back, I love the harmonizing Bone comes with and the speed in which they rap CAN NOT and COULD nNOT be done by any member in wu tang.

Bone thugs have set so many trends in hip hop and have proved to be influential. Withouth Bone thugs, there would probly be no Nelly, T-pain, Future. Bone thugs bodied 2 of hip hops greates MCs (pac & Big) on their own tracks. FACT!

I'm not comin in here shyttin on the Wu at all. I just think that Overall bone made better music. I think that wu tang thrives in many aspect because of the "cult/weirdo/nerd/geek" following they have. Some of the wu tang production and lyrics were God awful to me.
Some people simply supported it just because they were the wu. (Cappadonna, U god, Killa Priest, ODB and GZA were wack to me) just my opinion.

Don't get me wrong I own several wu albums, so I understand the direction of their musik. But I would choose E.1999 over 36 chambers. I would choose art of war over forever.

Again, you're inaccurate and prove again, why you should not be in threads posting paragraphs filled with tripe. Nobody knows 95% those Bone songs you listed other than Bone Thugs fans. They had 2 or 3 HUGE hits. That's it. The others were just bangers, just like Wu got bangers. Stop acting like those other joints are BIG BillBOARD smashing hits when they are far from. And I spent my teens in the 90's and was in the military. Traveled all over the US. Met people of all walks of life that could recite Wu songs, and were fans. Big fans. Nobody is denying that Bone Thugs SOLD more records than Wu, but that don't mean shyt. Wu are the better group. They resonated then, and they resonate now. Wacky, where are Bone NOW? What influence do they have on the game NOW? What did they do, other than sell records, that made them bigger game changers than Wu, THEN and NOW? You can't answer accurately. You're gonna go on this long diatribe about Bone SELLING more records (which is fact but don't mean shyt.) and how they have made more well known records as a group (which is false). Go ahead and respond and prove me right. WuTang's impact on the game, in the 90's and NOW are legendary. They are hip hops Beatles. For you to dispute that is expected, cause you rarely make sense, and it just adds to your legacy of posting fallacy.

there impact remains in tact, when nikkas like drake kendrick and Asap flow and style of harmonizing is straight from the bone book it says something. and a lot of R&B folks bit the style too. nikkas dont want to admit it but ALOT of nikkas took from their style and not one person can flip it like bone can. Wu was a big influence in the eastcoast but bone was more spread out at the time. shyt they came out of nowhere and stood toe to toe with the big nikkas from 94-2000. They dropped when Illmatic, RD, and the West where major players and remained atop of their game even when the south was starting to creep up. Give bone their luv for doing it and doing it different.
