I feel u bra but damn if that shyt really has that much of an impact on these professional players it’s kinda sad to me lol
It has an indeterminate amount of impact.

At the end of the day, these nikkas is only human, and each and everyone one of them reacts/responds differently to these stimuli, even if they're not always conscious of it at the time. We always hear players talk about their fans or the opposing team's fans, so it stands to reason it has an impact on how they perform. Nobody can just tune out what happens past the white lines.

D'Antoni said this:

“I think it’s a big deal..Some guys I think will perform even better without the pressure of fans."

Bron said this (initially):

"I ain't playing if I ain't got the fans in the crowd. That's who I play for. I play for my teammates, and I play for the fans. That's what it's all about. So if I show up to an arena and there ain't no fans in there, I ain't playing. They can do what they want to do."

Again, you’re being obtuse trying to argue semantics. You know exactly what issues I’m talking about because you listed many of them in the fukking OP.

Your whole stance is just as dumb as people who argued against instant replay.
And as I pointed out to you - you're wrong. Those are bball issues, or more specifically, they're NBA issues. The travel, the fans/crowd, homecourt, DOP etc, these are all factors that shape NBA basketball, whether you want to admit it or not.

And as I pointed out, you’re hell bent on arguing semantics despite the fact that you knew EXACTLY what issues I was talking about. shyt is corny.

This is the third time I've acknowledged the issues you're talking about. It seems like you're the one trying to juke around this cause you realize that they are NBA/bball issues, and not non-related like you initially thought they were.

You’re being so disingenuous...of course the best teams win the chips. They also earn the luxury of home court as a result of being the best teams, to widen that margin between them and the lesser teams
And teams with HCA, as of the past 10 years, win 74% of their respective series.
That’s not all strictly because of the home court, obviously. Talent always will be the leading factor. But to pretend that not having it isn’t a big deal is again being disingenuous at best.

In short teams like Milwaukee, LAL, LAC, TOR etc won’t get to enjoy the fruits of their labor. And the lesser teams will have a more even playing field..

And that’s not even getting into the psychological effects playing in packed out arenas have individual player performances.
74% of teams with HCA won their series because they have the better players .

If those teams that worked hard for HCA have to now play teams on an even playing field that should mean their title should be even more legitimatized right? That’s what your post seems to be indicating .

You can look back 30 years and you’re not going to find many teams that won the title based on their HCA. More times than not it’s the best player/team winning it all . It’ll happen again this year ,bubble or not .

Houston missed 100 threes with their HCA
GSW lost a 3-1 lead with their HCA
Philly got their soul snatched by Tor with their HCA

The fan/HCA shyt doesn’t mean anything if the other team has the better squad .

Nah, you just like to argue to argue.

Your stance is just as dumb as people arguing against using instant replay to correct bad calls...another “non bball” issue :umad:

Welcome to 2020: where everything that we've known to be NBA basketball isn't really basketball, after all. Crowds/fans? Nah, not NBA basketball. Homecourt advantage? Nah, not NBA basketball. Visual/background pollution regarding the net/rim? Nah, not NBA basketball. Players, current and past, talking about the differences of playing-factors in the bubble and in a regular setting? Nah, not NBA basketball.

This thread wouldn't exist if Steph or Kyrie was in the bubble.

Gil, we know there are some advantages and disadvantages. Just the reality of our world with COVID. This is a non-starter.

Sit your dumbass down.

This thread doesn't have a cotdamn thing to do with Steph or Kyrie. I simply made it to generate some discussion, to unwind people's perceptions of the conditions of these playoffs as it relates to a regular playoff setting. The main reason I did it is I wanted to gauge people's responses now, at the start, and see if it changed as the playoffs went on.
